Tonight on ABC's show "Life On Mars," The main characters are brought out of hibernation during a long space mission to Mars in the year 2035. The head of the mission on Earth told them the following at their arrival; "President Obama wanted to be here but her father was ill and she wanted to be at his side."

I may have not have the exact quote but this the gist of it. It's a show about a police officer who is hit by a car in 2008 and wakes up in 1973. Took an odd twist tonight. Started liking it and then they came up with this lib manure. The show has been cancelled and this was the series finale. If there is a repeat season then I don't intend to watch because of the Obama malarkey. Or buy the DVD either.

Sure did take an odd twist. I was sort of lost...the Obama comment was stupid. (theirs not yours)

I got the ending but didn't care for it. It should have ended at the 10:51 mark when Sam proposed to Annie and accepted his life.

BTW, as someone who was a young 20 something in 73 the series showed just what a sewer NYC had become after 8 years of liberal Lindsay, but if you were young, single with no real responsibilities the city was a blast.

Speaking of lib manure, on Jeopardy today one clue asked about a U.S. President who was referred to as “evil.” One contestant incorrectly guessed Clinton (the correct response was Nixon) and Alex Trebek responded with a horrified “Nooo!”, as if he simply couldn’t stand the thought of someone thinking Clinton was evil.

I like Jeopardy, but the occasional lib bias is annoying, and Trebek’s a jerk.

maybe it's a good thing the show got canceled. I would have stopped watching it after tonight's episode. It's a shame, I liked this show.

I did plan to buy the DVD, but now I won't.

I don’t have a big problem with that comment. So one of Obama’s kids is president, It’s not like it would be the first time that a child of a president grew up to become president.

I thought Trebek was to the right? Or so the rumor is. Anyways all of his political contributions have gone to Chuck Hagel.

Chuck Hagel is an uber-RINO who makes McCain look conservative. I’m so glad that jackass is no longer in the Senate.

Trebek supporting Hagel - makes sense. One liberal supporting another.

It’s the flagrant, in-your-face product placement for Obama that’s so annoying.

One of my favorite shows. Gonna miss it. Although, I do have 12 episodes of the Brit version and 8 more of a sequel, so I can’t complain too much.

Was the BBC original also called "Life on Mars"? I thought I'd set my DVR up to catch it, but I must have forgotten to do so. We watched the first couple, then I DVRd a couple, when I found out Fred was on the show, but haven't watched them.

Does ABC show episodes of their series on the Internet after the show has run?

I don’t have a big problem with that comment. So one of Obama’s kids is president, It’s not like it would be the first time that a child of a president grew up to become president.

A 2035 President would have to be elected in 2032. Obama's eldest daughter was born in 1998. In 1932 she would be 34: can't run without tampering with the Constitution.

Make that 2032 not 1932. 1932 was FDR’s reelection which everybody followed in TV
