Exactly. Remember that article from a week or so ago that said that the Rats were going on a full court press to attack Sarah - they were going to give her the Limbaugh treatment.
Now I realize Sarah Palin is human and has made mistakes, but so has every other human being on earth including her critics who are nothing more than fussy little cowards who deserve to be treated with nothing but utter contempt.
I also thought the engagement might be a political set-piece, a useful expedient. The disengagement only strengthens that suspicion. Such is politics.

Years ago, Rush Limbaugh did a lot to attract new folks to the conservative movement. Now, I think he’s turning a lot of people off. Too many people are just way more moderate these days, and I don’t see attracting them with his style.

Look the press would have continued to run with this. Sarah had to put something on record to counter it. I'm sure she would have preferred not to, but the choice wasn't up to her. Johnston made it by playing the media and 15 minutes of fame game.

Second, there have just been too many flare-ups, problems with people she has worked with, in-law problems. Every week it is another distraction. She really needs a "handler" or she will never be anything above Governor in her career.

Gotta disagree - Rush & Sarah are living by the rule many of us were taught as kids: If they start a fight with you, you better finish it or they’ll walk all over you.
This was the number 1 thing that drove me nuts about President Bush - FIGHT BACK! He left us all hanging to defend him against the tidal wave of lies (no WMD, torture, etc.).

Mitt raised a great family who apparently have no problems, no out of wedlock babies, no apparent drugs. Geez, Mitt may be the only politician who is 100% faithful to his wife, never smoked anything, no drugs, no alcohol,etc. If that were the qualification to be a politican he would be prez now.
I like the Palins. Todd is way hot. Piper is totally adorable. Sarah seems to really live by principles. If she is meant to be prez she will be,even though the left is trying to preempt her.

EXACTLY. These hyprocrits have yet to get over their candidate not being nominated AKA mitt-witts. These are the same fools that gave us Obama and will probably get him reelected; since they care more for their slick RINO and wanting to be perceived as making the correct choice than their country.
