NY Daily News ^

Lindsay Lohan's new post-breakup makeover hasn't won over singer Steve Nicks, who was less-than-impressed to hear that the troubled starlet is desperate to play her on film.

"Over my dead body," the 60-year-old singer told the New York Times after learning that Lohan was interested in buying the rights to her life story in order to nab the lead role.

I love the Fleetwoods!

So do I, but are there more than two of us?

I actually got to see Fleetwood Mac on tour this past March in Pittsburgh at the Mellon Arena. The show was awesome; Nicks was really good; Mick Fleetwood as really great; and Lindsay Buckingham...well, he is just awesome on guitar. Stevie had a few wardrobe changes (breaks?) and she is still rocking the gypsie vibe. Fleetwood is still Fleetwood just older; and Buckingham was incredible.

When I am 61 I hope I look that good.

Lindsay Buckingham is a true virtuoso. I remember that solo album he came out with in 1993.

The Witchy Princess recently disparaged Britney Spears, too, saying that she hasn’t paid her dues because she didn’t live the starving artist lifestyle. In the 70’s I guess. When pressed, it was Stevie categorizing herself as a rock legend.. which Britney neither is, nor has ever aspired to be, as far as I can tell.

fail!

Britney is what, 28 years old now? We’ll have to wait & see how music history categorizes her in about 25 years or so. All her records have been #1 in the charts, in one way or another. I think that, even though she didn’t go through the 70’s “starving artist lifestyle”, Brit has paid her dues in many ways, especially after starting in the business at age 5 or 6 and totally missing out on her childhood, a la Michael Jackson. Stevie slept her way through in the business.

Stevie should just chill out.

I can't post the very funny joke I'm thinking of.

Lindsay Buckingham is a true virtuoso.

He's also an extremely odd duck with a huge ego.

Agreed. And Britney isn’t called Pop Princess for no reason. She’s not a “rock star” nor has she ever pretended to be. Other than being famous and presumably wealthy, the two women are kinda apples & oranges aren’t they?

Maybe Lohan can play Buckingham instead of Nicks. Show his feminine side. Or something.

Oh No No No!!! Please don't ruin the pristine image I have of Buckingham! But I really want to know -- in what ways does he have a big ego? Has he done or said anything? Details, please!

Apples & oranges indeed.

Every one of Stevie’s records went down in sales as she released them. Her best-selling album was her debut, “Bella Donna” in 1981 (which is ironically the year Britney Spears was born), and then every time she released a new one, it would sink deeper & deeper in sales and in the charts.

Britney, on the other hand, keeps rising & rising, both in popularity and in record sales. Her record sales still shoot up through the roof, even when she’s taking a hiatus to shave off her head or to deal with alimony payments to Kevin Federline and other child custody issues.

Britney is amazing (and I’m not even a fan — really. But I do admire her.)

Anybody old enough to remember when Streisand hit the scene in the 60’s? It was big news on my campus that she was Jewish.
