Two High Point men escaped injury Saturday after their small, flat-bottom boat capsized under the East Fork Road bridge in Jamestown.
The men were fishing Saturday afternoon at High Point City Lake.

This is what qualifies for news around here.
By this measure the Styrofoam and lounge chair raft I made as a kid which disintegrated 1/2 mile out in the bay should have been national news.
Yes, you’ve missed your 15 minutes of fame. Tell us more about the chair incident...
Flipping your johnboat during a day out fishing is bad news for sure.
Sure does look at the oil fouling the lake where is the hazmat team
Just a raft built out of flotsam junk we’d find washed up in the mangroves at the edge of the bay down in Fla. Worked real well for a 1/2 a mile.
Flipping a flat bottom boat implies impaired balance to me, a hold-muh-burr moment. At least they could swim, apparently.
