So by now we're pretty much all familiar with Ms. California's response to Perez Hilton's question at the Miss USA Pageant the other night, she just doesn't believe in "opposite marriage," (no offense to the gays)
This ain't cool with Miley, and she's going to let the world know.

When "stars" start saying stupid things, they begin to fade.
Shouldn't she get credit for that?
What’s sad is that some people are too hypocritical to display that “tolerance” they claim to practice and are too stupid to notice their hypocrisy.
Nobody deserves any extra or special rights under the law.

Word up - this is the “civil rights” issue of her generation. Most young people think that’s the issue and, they have NO CONCEPT of societal foundations crumbling.

Conservatives should not under-sell the power of pop culture, but especially that influence on our youth. A youth that gets to vote at the age of 18.
Let’s face it, if you are a celebrity and if you say anything bad about gays, you effectively end your career.
You can go the rehab 20 times, be arrested for DUI, get hooked on heroin...whatever, you could still resurrect your career. But say something bad about gays, and you can forget it.

Here's the worse part. Although everyone has anecdotal evidence that people, perhaps even themselves, become more conservative as they age, the empirical evidence about voter party loyalty is very clear. The party that an overwhelming number of people vote for in their first election is the same party that they will most usually identify with for the balance of their lives.
