So by now we're pretty much all familiar with Ms. California's response to Perez Hilton's question at the Miss USA Pageant the other night, she just doesn't believe in "opposite marriage," (no offense to the gays)
This ain't cool with Miley, and she's going to let the world know.
mileycyrus: I'm sad that people use god and religion as an excuse 2 hate, discriminate and deny gays and lesbians equality under the law
Later when Perez Hilton asked her to make a specific stand Miley replied with:
'I believe everyone has the right to be happy, that's all i'm saying'
Mock Twitter all you want, but when the most popular teen star in the world says something like this, millions and millions of gay rights supporters are born.
When "stars" start saying stupid things, they begin to fade.
Shouldn't she get credit for that?
What’s sad is that some people are too hypocritical to display that “tolerance” they claim to practice and are too stupid to notice their hypocrisy.
Nobody deserves any extra or special rights under the law.
What should be expect from a “Disney Product”?
This is why I agreed with pre-apology Jamie Foxx.
Thanks Miley for the teenage lecture, but I have T-shirts older than you.
It’s in her family. Her grandfather was a Democrat state politician. Being a little vapid Hollyweird bimbette doesn’t help either.
She can start a little sodomite-loving club with Meghan McSlime.
Billy Ray’s a butt pirate? Who knew?
I'm suprised her dad didn't teach that to Miley growing up...
...and she fails to capitalize “God” and uses poor grammer. I now know all I need to know about her.
Word up - this is the “civil rights” issue of her generation. Most young people think that’s the issue and, they have NO CONCEPT of societal foundations crumbling.
Miley is going to pop radio, I dont know how much of a connection she really has with country anymore.
I wish. We had a star say stupid things everyday over a two year campaign, and yet he was comfortably elected President of the United States.
Conservatives should not under-sell the power of pop culture, but especially that influence on our youth. A youth that gets to vote at the age of 18.
Let’s face it, if you are a celebrity and if you say anything bad about gays, you effectively end your career.
You can go the rehab 20 times, be arrested for DUI, get hooked on heroin...whatever, you could still resurrect your career. But say something bad about gays, and you can forget it.
Isn’t it insulting to blacks to call men fornicating with each other ‘civil rights’? (just wondering why this isn’t put forth in the media)
