The CIA's use of waterboarding to interrogate terrorism suspects was approved by Condoleezza Rice as early as 2002, a senate report reveals. As national security adviser, Ms Rice consented to the harsh interrogation of al-Qaeda suspect Abu Zubaydah, the Senate Intelligence Committee found. Memos released last week show that he and another key detainee were subjected to waterboarding 266 times. Former Vice-President Dick Cheney has said the techniques produced results.

Travis come on...I’ve been here for years and you know it as we have had discussions before...some where we were in agreement. I don’t think torture is right. I am a Christian; it is against my faith. This does not in anyway indicate agreement with the witch hunt DU crowd...In an aside, I once tried to infiltrate DU...spying on the enemy so to speak...got a name and all. Within days, I was banned...don’t even no why. I guess I was not as clever as I thought. DU bans your IP address by the way...totally paranoid to be sure.
Yep, Blame America First. Another leftist posture.
The other icky stuff you don’t like, that includes the “torture” with a caterpillar, right?
Interesting you believe it when “someone said it’s illegal” and discount the fact that I said waterboarding saved American lives. It’s pretty easy to see you are clearly posting with an anti-American agenda.
We are in agreement about not bringing anyone to trial, by the way.
OK, you are not a DU’er, but apparently (obviously) you support policies that make it more dangerous for Americans, and are in alignment with the hardcore left against interrogation techniques that have saved America lives.
I pay attention.
The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of enhanced techniques of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) -- including the use of waterboarding -- caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles.
Google it, if you were paying attention, you'd KNOW that what we did saved American lives. Tons of sources.
Of course there should be no triel, because they did nothing wrong!
It was on Fox OK, and I asked it if it was true...didn’t state it was true. All right you found me out. I am a softy and very squeamish it’s true...it’s why I didn’t follow my brother and sister into the Marines and only lasted 10 minutes into the movie-Saw. Now, for full disclosure I cried every time I was forced to watch Old Yeller and refuse to watch movies where kids and dogs die in general. I don’t want to argue with you about this because I really don’t know what to think.
Look, I will accept your opinion about water boarding not being torture because I have no opinion as I know nothing about it.
I need not google...your word is good enough. Thanks for the information. I do think this will not play well for the Democrats and might hurt them in 2010.
Trial, not triel. UGH.
