Never heard of Him before.
She is beautiful and Christian!
Beautiful, sincere and Christian vs Angry, outrageous and Obnoxious.
She wins!
Sarah Palin was as well, to put herself through college. I think there are more christian women doing that to use what God gave em to put themselves through college than turning to stripping and prostitution.......

Why there are some religious groups that believe in covering the body, e. g. the Amish, Ultra-Orthodox Jews, and Wahabbi Muslims, among others, not all religious people do so.
May I remind you what Adam and Eve wore in the Garden of Eden before they fell?
So, we live in the Garden of Eden before the fall?
Take a look at Miss CA...she is putting a LOT of time into her looks. The Bible would tell her to emphasize inner beauty.
Another biblical perspective: When Christ entered Jerusalem, the crowd cast off their garments for Him to sit and ride on (Mark 11:7-8). Church Fathers interpreted this as the start of a return to Eden.
As to your point about inner beauty, there is nothing wrong with inner or outer beauty. See the entire book of the Song of Solomon. A denial of the body is a denial of the Incarnation - the Word became flesh and dwelt among us - and is a step in the direction of Gnosticism.
Miley has been poisoned by The Mouse.
It is a matter of priorities. I’m not advocating that no one comb their hair. However, from the photos of Miss CA, she spends a LOT of time on her looks. Frankly, you can’t compete at that level in beauty pageants if you don’t.
When you devote that much time to the body, you are missing the point. It is like the difference between lifting weights and bodybuilding. One is exercise, the other is obsession.
I have been blessed with a quick, analytic mind and the ability to express myself well (OK, maybe I am not blessed with humility). I make a good living from these gifts.
Miss CA has been blessed with beauty. She is not a prostitute, and as long as she does not use her talent for evil, I can find no fault with her investing in what she has been granted.
And I sincerely wish that God will bless you as well.
OK, you try
Perez Hilton tossed a grenade as Miss California, and she instantly made her choice to save her principles by diving on it and letting it blow her up.
I don’t want to sit in judgement here. My daughter is beautiful. In her teen years had the opportunity to speak about purity and abstinence issues. She went on Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, sat next to Adam Carolla who called her gay for waiting until marriage. So many criticized my daughter for not thinking of the “right” thing to say. It is extremely difficult to think on your feet, on LIVE television under those conditions- you are being attacked! I was so proud of my daughter. The criticism was ridiculous, the critics weren’t even there! The pageant, I’m on the fence- about body image and those things, but Miss California will be maturing in her faith, as all of us do.
Not the only one.
I always prepared by watching/listening to a couple of episodes of the show if at all possible. But, they're comfortable and in their element. It is their job after all.
One effective tactic that many seasoned interviewers take is ignoring leading/hostile questions. You need to know why you are there. You don't care about the guy at home screaming, “Why don't you just answer the question” at his TV. You give the answer to the questions you want to answer.
It works and it generally befuddled most interviewers in my experience. It threw their timing and changed the dynamics of the interview.
As to a devout Christian pursuing a beauty contest it does seem like the wrong venue - Babylon/Egypt are places to escape from, not enjoin.
There is a poll on Yahoo at this time on this subject.
Our side is pounding the gay butt boys like Hilton.

Go to the site and vote to pound more shame on the truly ugly/two ton gay butt boy, Hilton.
Q. Carrie Prejean caused a stir on the Miss USA stage when she said marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Judge Perez Hilton and others in the pageant slammed the response, which may have cost her the crown. On the talk-show circuit Prejan has stood by her response and garnered praise from opponents of same-sex marriage.
What do you think? Does Prejean deserve criticism or praise for her response?
She should be criticized. That sort of prejudice should never be tolerated. 11%
She should be praised for expressing her opinion. 87%
