In the middle of the page is a .pdf file link for today's (Wednesday) program with lots of interesting items, including an over view of all the holes.
Can you do the Golf-Ping List or has something on this already been posted?
My hometown until I moved in ‘93! Wish I was there this week!
Your homepage still shows you as a Floridian.
Did you move to a larger city than J'ville? :^)
I moved to a much smaller, slower, whiter beach area in NW FL! We love it!
I played this course about twenty-five years ago (back before frustration forced me to quit playing golf, though I still love the game) and I believe that this is the most beautiful course in the eastern US.
I know what you mean about smaller slower etc. Spent six weeks in Naples this winter, but it’s too crazily expensive. Do you know anything about Panama City? Destin?
What a place...
My aunt and uncle had one of the first homes in Sawgrass back in the early 1980s (they moved away and have since moved back), I love it down there and I generally don’t like Florida. The tournament course is amazing and the views are spectacular.
Thu, Fri on The Golf Channel.
Sat, Sun ?
President Bush story:
Stewart Cink’s first President’s Cup. He had met President Bush previously, but briefly. Stewart and his wife were sitting at their table after dinner when former President Bush approached them, hand outstretched.
Before Stewart could say “Good evening, Mr. President”, good ole Papa Bush said to Stewart: “I don’t know if you remember me....” and re-introduced himself.
Gotta love the panhandle beaches!
Sand as white and fine as powdered sugar. Crystal clear water.
Just add some Purple Jesus and beach music and you got a wonderful day at the beach.
Years ago, USA Today had a "World's Worst Golfer" competition. They got entrants from all over with verifiable handicaps in the extreme high double digits that had been playing golf for over 10 years.
The event was pared down to a foursome of the "Worst of the Worst" and they played Sawgrass to determine the..uh...winner??
The "world's Worst Golfer shot somewhere around 290 for 18 holes. I'm not sure of the score, but it was pretty close to par for an entire PGA tournament.
I do remember reading that he put 17 balls into the water on the 17th. He then took a ball and his putter and went around via the path to the green. He even knocked one ball into the water on the path leading over to the green.
It gave me hope.
Thanks Baynative for the “Ping” (pingibus FReepibus golfae)
Interesting that they show almost as much of this tournament as they do the Majors.
Live@ starts at 9AM today with live coverage of the 17th.

I’m here now!!!
Tiger on course now, +1 heading to 17(playing the back first)....
I like Watney. The kid is a bomber like Bubba and Sean O’Hair.
I do not like Obama’s pal Tiger or his thug caddy. After the fawning over Obama twice - I am no longer a fan.
I’ll go with Padraig to win this week with Tiger falling a little short.
He’s missed some makeable birdie putts today or that -2 could be a lot better.
Sergio looking goo so far, -3.
I’m watching Live From before I head out to work. They preview the last 3 episodes of the Haney Project. Vince asks what Charles Barkley would shoot at TPC. Brandel, without a second’s hesitation answers, HIMSELF!!! Priceless.
Work, here I come.....
The golf industry is being devastated by Obama’s Depression. Thanks Tiger.
“The golf industry is being devastated by Obamas Depression. Thanks Tiger.”
On the other hand, Tiger did more to build it than anyone since Arnie. Everything goes around...
Where’s the dufus that tried to claim the TPC deserved to be a MAJOR Championship more than the Masters?
Did you see HOW FEW people attended the TPC on Saturday? There was NO ONE surrounding the famed #17.
And... no one is posting crap about it here. It’s a ho-hum deal.. another week, another golf tourney.
NOTHING, like... The Master’s!
Thanks. I know I wasn’t around this or what turned out to be another thread put up for this!! Been a busy weekend at work and stuff....
You are spot on right. Watching play at the end of the day yesterday there was no one out there. Of course, since Tiger was already long gone, all the sheep left.Same thing Friday. There might have been 10 people standing behind 17 tee as the last few groups finished off, again after Tiger was done.
As for the troll who thinks this is bigger than the Masters.................that says it all doesn’t it?
