The new disc also becomes Dylan`s first album to spend more than a week at the peak since 1969`s `Nashville Skyline.`
Bob Dylan started a second week atop the U.K. album chart with "Together Through Life," his first No. 1 release since his 1970 outing "New Morning."
The new disc also becomes Dylan's first album to spend more than a week at the peak since 1969's "Nashville Skyline." Additionally, it is the current chart champ in the U.S.
Ciara debuted at No. 9 with "Fantasy Ride," while the former Cat Stevens, Yusuf Islam, arrived at No. 10 with "Roadsinger."
Depeche Mode's "Sounds of the Universe" logged a second week atop Billboard's European Top 100 Albums chart.

Last Dylan CD I bought was “Time Out Of Mind” back in the Summer of ‘97, which is now considered a classic. I heard this new one is supposed to be even better, but who knows. I haven’t listened to Dylan in a loooooooooong time.
Pretty amazing . Talk about longevity in the music business . His first album came out in 1962 !
I can not say any thing bad about Bob, I base some inner suspiscions upon the supposition that he’s a radical 60’s kind of guy. I can’t make heads or tails of where bob is comming from, because I can’t understand a flipping thing he says.
This is not a joke (well.. it kind of is).
Good for Bob he puts new stuff out, I’ll not spend my few precious pennies on this latest endeavor, But I have enough integrity to not pass judgement upon any artist that I fully can’t comprehend. (LOL)
yep. And amazing his blues stomps on his new album are right on the money. Not bad for a scrawny kid from Minnesota.
It’s not better, just an easier and looser listen. Time Out of Mind was kinda gloomy.
And sometimes he is crystal clear.
You have to stand back and just admit someone's artistic greatness even if he supported Obama, which he has.
He's Dylan. He's awesome. I couldn't care less who he's voted for, his albums have given me pleasure for decades.
He said some nice things about Obama, but he also said some nice things about Bush. But he is about as spolitical as they come. He completely avoided Vietnam protests, he completely avoiding the “no nukes” crowd. He’s about as PC as a burning hemorrhoid. And he actually likes America.
Thanks for the link.
Spolitical? Should we attribute the word to Bob, You or Me?
I vote ME I saw it first!
Yea, maybe not so much “Meth Crystal Clear”, but yea I’d rather go fishing with most, and have to respectfully decline going huting with others, for my own safety.
Look, just so you know where it is that I’m comming from, I’d rather hang with the former VP than meet with a certain particular rock icon, Bob does what Bob does. No disrespect, but as much as I would argue with both of these persons, I think that the former VP would actually listen to me. And “Richard” Cheney seems to cool for school, my ultimate prediction is that He needs a good publicist, true that ‘that’ sucks, but whatever. Sir, you took the job, fine.
Now, if others say either we meet with the former VP or a rock icon like Ozzy, well, it would not be so easy for me to decide. I’d be conflicted, I adore Ozzy. I’m sorry former VP, Ozzy said he’d hang out with me, (in my dreams) But I digress.
The former VP does not know who I am, Nor does any rock legend, well, whatever...
I haven’t bought the new album yet ...and to be honest haven’t bought a Dylan album since Nashville Skyline when I was a boy . Will buy this one . I do have his Chronicles book and the Scorcese movie on DVD . If I were 1/50th as cool as Bob I’d be one happy camper .
"Time and love has branded me with its claws,
I had to go to Florida dodgin' them Georgia laws."
Hang for a weekend with Cheney or Dylan?
Dylan in a heartbeat.
