Christian Symposium Offers Different Take on Aliens at Roswell UFO Festival

ROSWELL, New Mexico, May 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Alien Resistance, a Christian counter-cult outreach ministry, will hold an all-Christian-speaker Symposium on aliens during the annual Roswell UFO Festival July 3-5th, 2009. The 11 participants include 4 PhDs, 2 doctorates of ministry, 2 pastors, 2 ordained ministers, and several pastoral counselors, with 12 books written between them on the UFO/Alien topic. The Symposium will educate on the UFO/alien topic from a Biblical Christian perspective, with emphasis on counter-cult evangelism, creationism, and spiritual warfare. The event is free for the public to attend, and will be held at the Best Western Sally Port Inn Ballroom. Tens of thousands of people interested in the UFO/Alien topic are expected to attend the Roswell UFO/Alien Festival this year.

Organizers assert that, "From a Biblical Christian perspective it becomes clear that 'aliens' are actually the evil spirits of the Bible. This idea is backed up experientially with the evidence of numerous testimonies of 'abductees', which show that 'alien abduction' experiences stop in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Also the sinful behaviors of the 'aliens' behind abductions, the false gospels and new age messages they proclaim, and their supernatural powers so very reminiscent of those described in the Bible as being had by angels, all adds up to make clear that 'aliens' are in fact the evil spirits of the Bible."

Participants will include: William Alnor Ph.D., author of "UFOs in the New Age" and "UFO Cults in the New Millennium"; Gary Bates, from Creation Ministries International Australia, author of "Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection"; Mike Bennett Ph.D., demonology researcher and host of "FutureQuake" Nashville-based Christian FM talk radio program; Pastor Russ Dizdar, Cult and Occult survivors specialist and deliverance minister; Joe Jordan O.M., alien abduction researcher and deliverance minister; Michael S. Heiser Ph.D., doctor in Hebrew Bible and Semitic Languages and author of "The Facade"; Guy Malone, author of "UFO Phenomena and the Bible"; Mrs. Malone, author of "A Modern Guide to Demons and Fallen Angels"; L.A. Marzulli D.Min., author of "Politics, Prophecy, and the Supernatural"; Pastor Chris Ward D.Min., deliverance minister and author of "Case Files of an Internet Exorcist"; and Stephen Yulish Ph.D., author of "The Real Story of UFOs."

It's horrible, to be shunned by fringe kooks. Oh, you wouldn't believe what it's like.

This isn't clear to me; and, I've been Bible-centric for 59 years.

I'm pretty sure that ETs are just part of the larger family.

I'm puzzled by your response. Are you implying that flying saucers should be taken by faith?

No common sense is the enemy of faith.

I'm still confused. What does it mean in the context of someone like myself who is a skeptic concerning flying saucers?

I am just pointing out one of God’s principals. We live by faith not by our common sense. You seem to have pride in your common sense. Both common sense and pride have their problems. Faith looks outward to God and common sense looks inward to self. Quix has faith in God, I know this by his fruits. We believe in the rapture and an end time one world government. UFOs, ETs and principalities and powers in the air may not make common sense but could in fact be tools of Satan in these end times. I definitely am not quick to dismiss Quix and what God is revealing to him.

There are thousands of reports of engineered craft. LVD has a link that I plan to post but am still feeling thoroughly . . . drained . . . for good reason.

My relative just confirmed, for me, at that time . . . some decades ago . . . what I’d already studied and believed about at least the bulk of what’s commonly seen being engineered craft.

I’m just a watchman on the wall. Folks can pray and ask God to confirm; do their own research with prayerful open minds . . . or walk on by . . . however they see fit.

Actually, it is impossible to live without some measure and type of faith.

JoJo has faith the other cars will stop at a red light. . . . most of the time. Watches for the exceptions.

JoJo seems to have tons of faith that his addiction to so EXTREMELY ON ONE END avoiding all hint of a TYPE I ERROR . . . while being seemingly blind to how unalterably that virtually insures he will be bit by a TYPE II ERROR on the topic. That’s IRRATIONAL faith.

To: GingisK; Alamo-Girl

Then you haven’t researched enough.

Check out Genesis 6; The Book of Enoch . . . I never remember the Alamo-Girl’s recommended version. Sigh. Sorry.

Get Guy Malone’s excellent most recent crop of DVD’s . . . then let me know if you are still of the same opinion.

However, the only thing you need to know . . . is that ALL the various races of ET’s currently dinking with earth are IN BEHALF OF SETTING UP THE SATANIC GLOBAL GOVERNMENT.

Which word is too hard to understand about that?

The hoaxter mentality, from where I’ve sat studying it since 1960 . . . has been much more on the side of the naysayers.

Much more.

swamp gas. Sheesh.

One has to be EXTREMELY loose with Scriptural interpretaton in order to believe ETs are discussed in any context. I simply do not prescribe to the notion that one has to jump through hoops in order to understand Scripture.

I won't let others think for me; and, I have no trust in the clergy. Especially those who tell me they are specially qualified to interpret for me.

What does it mean in the context of someone like myself who is a skeptic concerning flying saucers?

Basically it means they want to tell you what to think.

Under pure Christian Doctrine, logic is the enemy of Faith. Logic is a form of common sense, isn't it?

You and I have sparred on other threads, to and fro, so to speak. I am most concerned about those who would dictate what you aught to think. Those who shrug and say, "beats me", seem to be the most thoughtful.

Personally, I just don't buy the crap about ETs being Satan's minions. I think ETs are part of the family. This I base on the idea that God Created us out of love, both as an object of love and a source of love. Why would be build such an immense neighborhood, and then populate only one backwater planet on the rim of nowhere?

Be advised, this is just my humble theory. I've been studying this stuff since the late 1970s. There seem to be good ETs and bad ETs, just like with people. As luck would have it, it would appear our esteemed leaders are working with the wrong team. Just like everything else they do, right?
