Pet dog? Cat? Maybe a goldfish? Not for naturalist Casey Anderson, who adopted a grizzly bear cub seven years ago after the furry one-month-old was found orphaned in an overpopulated wildlife park. Anderson named his new pet Brutus, and the two have been inseparable ever since — together, they've set out on a yearlong mission to chronicle the lives of Yellowstone's vulnerable grizzly bears. The pair star in the National Geographic special “Expedition Grizzly featuring Casey Anderson,” airing Sunday, May 3 at p.m. ET/PT.

My cockatoo is certainly noisy at times but she is anything but dangerous. I’ve had her 21 years and she’s never bitten me or anyone else or presented any danger to anyone.

Well, it’s the owner—not the breed. Banning grizzlies as pets would be like violating our Second Amendment. Now let’s see some photos of grizzlies cuddling with their owners. ;-)

[Little irony, humor and sarcasm there.]

"Can I have a Tiger now???!?!"

Like post #28?

(Of course that's not one of those dangerous "Pit Grizzlies.")

Of course not. It’s an American Staffordshire grizzly or American bulldog/mastiff grizzly. ;-)

The guy has a handsome face.
I hope he gets to keep it.

On his skull.

Exactly where it currently resides.

At the age of 7, I’m going to assume it’s already gone through puberty and disaster has not struck.

I would also imagine he had the good sense to neuter it.

Usually, “raging hormones” play a part in wild “pet” animal attacks....that and spectacular stupidity.
