MARTINEZ, Calif. -- Two men have been charged with 85 counts of assault with a deadly weapon or vandalism in connection with a series of highway shootings in Fremont over the last month, according to Alameda County Deputy District Attorney Danielle London.
London said Shawn Phillip Wagner of Mariposa and Rojelio Samuel Gomez of Fremont, both, 21, are scheduled to be arraigned at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Alameda County Superior Court in Fremont.
California Highway Patrol Sgt. Trent Cross said authorities believe that Wagner and Gomez used a pellet gun in numerous shootings on Interstate Highway 680 between Mission Boulevard and Washington Street in Fremont.
The two men also are allegedly associated with nine isolated incidents on Interstate Highway 880, Cross said.

“deadly weapon”...”pellet gun”..
I know pellet guns, few are that powerfull.
I want to know what model.
If I find an article mentioning the model, I’ll add it on here.
I have no problem with this. If it causes someone to lose control of their vehicle, it’s a deadly weapon.
They were supposedly bored so they starting shooting cars from an overpass.
Very lucky no one was killed.

You could put somebody’s eye out!!
That sounds kinda deadly to me.
Pellet guns are dangerous, but regardless of the weapons used, IMO these two punks should very publically be sentenced and do hard time for the benefit of other punks who might be smart enough to draw a lesson.
Wasn’t there once an America in which delinquents shot alley cats instead of cars with their BB guns?
Or was I mistaken?

On the local news here they were saying pellet gun and showing BBs. The reporter babe was holding a BB pistol that pumped under the barrel, claiming this was the model used.
Don’t tell anybody, but during my early teen years my friends and I went thru a phase where we lobbed dirt clods off the overpass onto cars below.
Stupid, and I’ve regretted it ever since. No accidents resulted, though, and I was 13 not 21.
