Perhaps it seemed like a good idea while the originators were under the influence.

Very cheap attempt at humor. No wonder dodge is bankrupt.

OK if i didn't know better i would swear that was one of the Saturday Night Live commercials. So what is the message? Dodge is for guys who are inadequate? I mean it is funny in a Beavis & Butthead way, but it isn't going to sell any product.

I thought it was a great commercial. Have I had one too many beers on a Friday night?
To: navysealdad
One of the only American commercials that are in the class of suggestive world-wide commercials. A little bit of humor, but...
I still won't buy a Chrysler product!
To: navysealdad
Sorry I thought it was funny.

It may have been entertaining in an off-color way, but I can assure you that nobody is going to go out and buy a Dodge after seeing that ad.
That ad falls into a category that I call "too effective." The viewer focuses so much on the humor of the ad that they forget what the advertised product is!

A Marine friend sent this one to me over two years ago. He thought it was someone’s attempt at satire at the time. Of course, it could be a Canadian commercial since half the trucks in Ontario seem to be Dodge.
There’s another ad out there called, “Toyota Bait” which was pretty funny. Supposedly, it played in Europe.
