London, UK (BANG) - Britain's Prince Charles wants grey squirrels exterminated.
The future king - a keen environmentalist - has claimed it is essential to eliminate the animal, introduced from North America in the 19th century, because of the threat they pose to native red squirrels.
In a letter to the Country Land and Business Association, Charles - patron of the Red Squirrel Survival Trust said: "In order to be able to save the red squirrels and ensure their future in this country, it is absolutely crucial to eliminate the greys which, as you know, are an alien species to the UK and threaten the very existence of the reds.
"As you are also no doubt aware, the greys are doing immense and increasing damage to hardwoods all over the country and threaten to compromise all our efforts to restore native woodlands, let alone to create community forests."
His comments have been supported by many conservationists, who blame the greys for spreading disease, destroying trees, wrecking homes and gardens and killing birds.
However, the RSPCA said a cull would be cruel, with a spokesman saying: "We are concerned about the welfare of both red and grey squirrels, and believe that control must not be interpreted solely as lethal control.
"Eradicating long-established entire populations of greys would be very difficult and cause suffering."
Considering the rather “unique” makeup of the royal family, Chuck should be careful about calling for the elimination of any squirrels. ;)
Even our squirrels dominate ;)
Those squirrels just came across the border to feed their families.
I’d say they should just offer a bounty to the population, but -oops!- they took all the guns away.
I see. He’s speaking in code.
Red squirrels = the Red coats (native Britons)
Grey squirrels = the ‘Asians’ (muslims)...
They can always hunt with spitballs!
I'm sure there is a sizable plurality of people in the British Province of Eurabia who think animals have more rights than humans, therefore the tree rat has a right over people.
No 22LR => too many squirrels.
> They can always hunt with spitballs!
More likely to use air rifles, which I believe are still legal there.
There is a fellow who makes a roaring trade hunting grey squirrel to sell to local pubs as a delicacy. He ought to do quite well out of this.
“Those squirrels just came across the border to feed their families.”
Just doing the jobs that red squirrels won’t do.
How do you like that, King Chuckie doesn’t like them grey squirrels, so he wants to commit genocide against them.
Meanwhile, in America, King Obummer and Queen Sotomayor do not like the white homo-sapiens and are mulling castration, criminialization and more...
Or, they could sponsor a few people from the states to come and hunt them...I mean, there’s a recipe for squirrel stew on Allrecipes.com, so you know that SOMEone’s esating them...
Charlie is supposedly a closet Muslim. I think he may want to worry about other non-indigenous invaders to the UK. I feel sorry for Harry and William. Two idiot parents. Yeah she was too. She should have been at home with her kids.
"Now just wait a darn tootin minute!!!"
Yeah, good luck with your project Chuck.
The British should get rid of the imported German royal Hannover family while they're at it.
Bonnie Prince Foppie....
The Delisle silenced carbine, which saw use by various commando units in WWII, had its origins in the inventor's quest to supplement meat rations with squirrel and rabbit collected from his neighborhood.
I’ve seen these guys in SE PA. I’m carving little crosses as I post.
She would have been fine with the proper direction and correction. Unfortunately she married a mutant that wanted to be spanked by his mommie.
>> squirrel and rabbit collected from his neighborhood.
“Collected.” Hmmmm. Never thought of it that way ;o)
She was made a saint. She was a party girl who should have put her sons as her #1 priority. Charles is a moron. I like Harry.
