“Whats with this Letterman guy? He can only be doing this because its good publicity for him. I cant see any other reason for not apologizing when an apology is clearly in order.”
All we have to do to get Letterman to make an apology is for each and every one of us to not watch his show. Well, watch it “one more time” and while doing so, make a list of his sponsors. Then, write each one and inform them that you will not watch Letterman nor will you purchase their products until Letterman makes a sincere apology to Palin’s daughter and to flight attendants. If we should actually do these things he will make an apology very soon I think.

He and the rest of the SRM are deathly afraid of Gov Palin and are trying to ruin her.

Letterman is pathetic. He can only “prove” his importance by demeaning a woman of real intelligence.
Also pathetic is that the liberal movement encourages the reenactment of a typical domestic psychological abuse situation, while believing they are the champions of the “victim”(which Palin will never be!).
Liberals are hypocrites.

Letterman is certainly a shining example of the pot calling the kettle black.
old man Letterman has been shacked up with his own babymomma (half his age?) for the last 8 of the 23 years he ‘dated’ her, has a 6yo son, but has been married to the former Regina Lasko less than three months. Speaking about his Justice-of-the-Peace marriage, he bragged openly:
“I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I - honestly, whether this happened or not - I secretly felt that men who were married admired me
like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what Im saying?

> There will never be a letup. For - why would they stop, if it makes us change our candidates?
There’s alot to be said for that.
The rationale with letting them tire themselves out on Palin is that the opposition can build all their strategies against fighting her. A last minute switch to someone like, say, Ollie, would leave them with the wrong strategy against the wrong candidate. Shifting the ground rules is an age-old sales strategy, and it is one that is best deployed at the very last minute, as it gives the opposition less time to recover.
With this suggested strategy you put Palin as VP, and thus have the benefit of her in office for potentially sixteen years (8 as VP and 8 as POTUS).

Obama isn't the problem, Letterman isn't the problem. And besides, there's nothing YOU (all of us) can do about THEM. The REAL problem is the people who VOTED for Obama and the people in Letterman's audience who CHEERED at his joke. Now those are people you can do something about ... because many of them are your neighbors. Obama is who he is, he will not change, and he is doing exactly what he was ELECTED to do. Letterman, as long as he's getting SUPPORT from his audience continues to do what he is successfully doing. The bottom line here is for YOU to work on your NEIGHBORS and changing their limited view of the world. They voted for these people and they support the advertising for them. If we want to get out of this mess, we shouldn't be focusing on Obama or Letterman, we should be working on our neighbors that cause these two phenomenons to be successful. This is not something to be left up to the national news media, or DC lawyers ... it is up to YOU.
Action Step: In your next conversation with the person next door, plan a conversation to convince them to vote and think differently, or at least shed doubt on what's happening today. (Don't yell and shout, just talk.) That's the task we should be focusing upon TODAY. Make it a daily goal ... one person ... one new thought ... one changed mind. You see, it is "up to you and me." Not "somebody else."
We hear people asking, "yes, but what can I do?" Well there it is.

When comics and thugs offend scapegoats - ( Jews in WWII Germany or conservatives (today) in the United States) there's no “blow-back”. There's laughter that we would even think we deserved an apology.
The “in” people don't have to apologize to the cultural “outs”.
Letterman knows he can't make a rape joke about Obama's daughters. Just like he knows he can make a rape joke about a conservative's daughter.
He's a pig.

Letterman should research the meaning of the phrase, "fighting words."
Then he should be given about a half hour, private, off the record "interview" with Todd Palin (or Sarah for that matter).
My guess is after that, he would not be making any more jokes about the Palin's children.
Watch it Letterman...Sarah's got her eye on you!

Not a political strategist, but this appears to be giving Letterman the thing he craves -- attention. It seems it might have been better if Mrs. Palin had simply responded: Letterman's writers often provide the show with tasteless or inane comments targeted for low-brow laughs. It is not worthwhile to ascribe any importance to what is said, or to attach any significance to such ramblings. End of story. Case closed. Move along, nothing to see here. What Sarah did was much more effective.
She deftly transferred the "knock up" joke to "Letterman is a dirty old pervert who lusts for 14 year old girls" when he stupidly didn't notice that it was Willow at the ball game not, Bristol.
Then he componded his idiocy by trying to explain that he was really talking about Bristol not Willow. And then inviting them onto his show.
Sarah then drove in the knife when she said "I won't let Willow go near that man". OUCH!!!
This is a shot across the bow of all liberals. This momma bear has fangs.
