not familar but I am one who appreciates wholesome things I an tired of what they try to fill ones mind with today!
Aye, that heroic, sniveling cad, Flashman. Gonna buy myself the complete set of Flashman books, one of these days.
This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid I loved it every time it came on TV in those days movies were not played often like specialties
Self-ping to watch later.
You probably wouldn’t care much for Flashman, then. In the first book, much of the story involves the disastrous British retreat from Afghanistan. Not terribly wholesome.
The Flashman novels are, quite simply, brilliant. More than that, they’re terrific fun.
If you like that sort of thing, catch Michael Palin’s send-up of Tom Brown’s School Days, made for the ‘Ripping Yarns’ series on BBC, entitled “Tomkinson’s Schooldays.” It’s great.
Others in the series are equally enjoyable.
