Fearing the worst, I held my breath as I walked down the stairs toward the backyard at the Liberty Hotel last Wednesday night. This was the hotels first installment of a new weekly party called Yappy Hour where the dress code states Canines come dressed to impress. I had visions of dog owners and their pets in matching cheetah-print Juicy Couture track suits, with the poor dogs looking miserable in their ridiculous duds while their owners got sloppy drunk on Grape Escape cocktails. Im happy to report that instead the scene consisted of owners enjoying a drink while their dogs frolicked au natural.
I have always understood the need for short-haired dogs to wear coats or sweaters in chilly weather, but Im usually ready to speed-dial the MSPCA when I see a dog forced to wear a tacky outfit - or worse, an ensemble that matches its owners clothing. Can you cite poor taste as grounds for animal cruelty? Whether or not dogs like to be dressed up depends on the dog, says Debrah Schnackenberg, vice president of the Animal Protection Division for the American Humane Association.
While the American Humane Association does not encourage dressing dogs, as long as it doesnt pose any safety risk and the dog seems to enjoy wearing the latest fashions, theres no harm in dressing your pet.

That pic could qualify as a hate crime against Muslims.

haraam = forbidden by Islam
harem = so enticing you need an eunuch to guard them.

Mere headgear can be amusing (as long as it is less than 1/2 hour before taking it off)
I admit to being guilty of placing antlers on my dog at Christmastime :-)

My wife bought my dog a sweater once. I told her that my dog is a DOG. A male dog at that. He licks his butt and eats cat turds. He farts louder than me and drinks beer if I give it to him. We watch football together.
I will not faggorize him.
The sweater ended up in the trash because she did not take it down the road and give it to that nice “couple” for their poodle like I suggested.

My dog and cats LOVED dressing up. Animal cruelty it wasn’t. Hats were a particular favorite. My hats, not silly pet hats.

Actually, some dogs need to be "dressed" at certain times. For example, Yorkies do not have any down along with their fur (hence the reason they don't shed) and get cold when it is cold outside.
So I was told by a Yorkie-lover.
