I liked that name ‘Dumbama’. I was thinking the other day we should call him B.O. and we all know what B.O. is! They both stink! LOL!!

Hi jaycee, I had a few minutes to say hello this evening. The next two days will be too busy. Will be doing "Katie Ulen" at the Fort and participating in many 4th activities. Lots of things going on: food vendors, riverboat rides, music, parades, games, contests and fireworks. Wish you were here.
Since I probably won't be able to wish everyone a happy 4th, I thought I would do that tonight.

HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE! Batters up!

Hi Nan, Sounds like you all will be having a lot of fun in the 4th of July festivities. Liked that little one at bat. Is he someone you know or someone you are related to? He is so cute.
I will be going to my son’s. He has a big cookout and huge fireworks display after dark. He does have a wonderful show and spends lots of money on fireworks. My other son pitches in on some of the money for fireworks because they are like everything else these days.....very expensive! We will have about 32 people attending. He is making home cooked barbeque. he bought 3 Boston Butts and has to pull all that meat.
Wishing Everyone a very Happy 4th of July as we celebrate our country! We are going to have to fight to help save our country too!

For All The Cat People Of Amy's Place
Keeping Secrets

My big friend, Marvin had to go to "The Bad Place" the other day
And now he seems preoccupied and doesn't want to play
Which I can understand, considering the time that he was away
So I've been extra special careful at being as quiet as a mouse
Resisting the urge to capture all the shiny devices in the house
That might make loud, unwanted sounds and interrupt Marvin's rest
As I amble about on spotless gloves and spats at my behavior best
Yet, I miss my friend's clumsy, clicking gait and handsome, carefree smile
So I put away my concerns and sauntered close for a tete a tete
And didn't say a word about my favorite blanket upon which he'd set
As I found out what was the matter and why Marvin saw the Vet
When I discovered the problem had to do with my big friend's appetite
I nearly swatted Marvin's long damp nose out of angry Kitten spite
For a blockage had been created by a Chew Toy and my missing Catnip Mouse
And who can I tell this juicy secret to when it's known throughout the house?

LOL, that little one is my Emma. She played a whole season of "T" ball. Those little bitty kids are so cute and they play so hard.
Sounds like you are in for a big 4th too. Family is great when it works out for them. All of our family is scattered across the country. We only have our youngest son, Emma's dad, close to us, but his wife does have family here so they go there. We are just so thankful that we have our only grandchild close enough so we can see her and keep her on some days.
Indeed we are going to have to fight for our country.

Thank you for the prayer ping.
You are Most Welcome, TheConservativeParty, and I'll be Remembering your Aunt in my Prayers in the Coming Days as the Doctors Try to Discern what her Health Problem is.
These Scriptures are Some of my Very Favorites that have Brought Comfort to my Own Heart over the Years:
'You saw me Before I was Born, and Scheduled Each Day of my Life before I Began to Breath. Every Day was Recorded in Your Book.
How Precious it is, Lord, to Realize that You are Thinking about me Constantly. I can’t Even Count How Many Times a Day Your Thoughts Turn Towards me. And when I Awaken in the Morning, You are still Thinking of me.' (Ps.139:16-18)
'You have Seen me Tossing and Turning through the Night. You have Collected All my Tears and Preserved them in Your Bottle. You have Recorded Every One in Your Book.' (Ps.56:8)

Thank you, Kitty, so much. And the Psalm 139 (the whole thing) is my favorite always. It is so beautiful and explains everything so well. It is so comforting when I read it. For many years now, it has been my favorite. Hope you are enjoying your evening and keep those prayers going upwards. Appreciate your prayers always. And I know others do also!

Good morning, Jaycee.
52 degrees? WOW ... looks like you will have a very comfortable day.
It is 4:45 here and the temp is 70.
I think it will be a little cooler than yesterday.
It will still be too hot at the swimming pool.
The heat really saps my energy.
Are you feeling okay after your accident?
I'm going to start thru the thread for Wednesday and Thursday so I can answer some pings.
Seems that I missed so much!
Have a great day and enjoy your beautiful weather.

Jobs Principle
Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity? Job 2:10
When my wife accepted a position as Director of Special Education in a school district many miles from our home, it resulted in a very long commute each day. It was tolerable in the short term, but neither of us could see her doing this indefinitely. So we decided to relocate to another city halfway between our two jobs.
The real estate agent was not optimistic about our home selling quickly. Market trends showed many homes for sale with few buyers. After much prayer and strenuous cleaning, we finally put our home up for sale. To our surprise, our house sold in less than 3 weeks!
Sometimes I feel guilty about receiving material blessings. With so many needs around the world, why should I expect divine intervention in selling a home? Then I remember Jobs reply to his wife: Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity? (Job 2:10).
This verse is most often applied to accepting disappointment. But the principle also applies to being grateful for blessings. The apostle Paul had learned how to rejoice in plenty and in want (Phil. 4:10-13). God has an interest in teaching us contentment through both gains and losses. Thanking God in all circumstances recognizes His sovereignty and nurtures a response of faith. Dennis Fisher
We thank You, Lord, for blessings
You give us on our way;
May we for these be grateful,
And praise You every day. Roworth
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. Job

Father, please ease Aunt Mickey’s fears and worry. Please guide her medical caregivers in finding and treating her needs. Please Bless and comfort her as you hold her in your healing embrace. We ask this in Jesus Name.Amen

Happy 4th of July to you and your family. We will be at the local Tea Party tomorrow.
I need to be there before 8:00 so I will be missing tomorrow. FR is going to have an info booth there. Lori and JK have been putting a lot of time into this event. They are expecting a minimum of 15,000 and hoping for 25,000. It should be a fun day.

I noticed it was sorta cooling down yesterday but this low temp. this morning truly surprised me! Don’t worry, it will warm up! Probably a storm somewhere around bringing us cooler temps.
Guess I am doing a little better after my accident. There’s so much to take care of and that bothers me. Even though my insurance agent has done the most work! A few aches and pains that hot showers and the bed buddy helps with a lot. I am mostly trying to keep going. And I do think how much worse it could have been.
I understand you had a very trying day yesterday. These computers are always going to have some problems along the way but oh, so worth it when we need them, aren’t they?
Before this cool spell it had been hot this week...as I am adding water to the pool this morning. It evaporates in the hot weather! Also filled up one of the birdbaths that was nearly empty. It has a little pump in it, so you have to watch it or you’ll burn up the pump.
Enjoy your day, Amy, if you can....LOL! Happy 4th of July also!

Are you attending a Tea Party tomorrow? We will be going to the Central Valley Tea Party in Tulare at the Agri Center. A large crowd is expected. Estimates are between 15,000 and 25,000, with people coming in from Bakersfield to the south and Modesto to the north.
Have a safe and fun July 4th weekend.

Good to hear that the hot showers and the bed buddy are taking care of the aches.
My day was a little trying. I hate computers but am lost without it. :)
In my haste to get my internet connection back before leaving for the afternoon, I put a scratch on the back door of my van. Hubby spotted it right away. I sideswiped a shopping cart. Grrrr. The van is not new but this is the first scratch.
Marissa and I will be leaving about 2:30 again today for the last day of swim lessons. Next week she will be bored but I will be celebrating a week with some quiet time.

Unfortunately our tea parrty was yesterday when many of us had to work.
Love to attend a tea party. but I worry about exposing the children to being photographed by obama’s agents and the long term repercussions if he reigns for the next 8 years or more.
So sad to say this on this holiday to celebrate Independence Day.
