Oops, I picked up the news about your aunt from Kitty’s post and thought it was her aunt. Sorry about that. Prayer still stands.
I liked that name ‘Dumbama’. I was thinking the other day we should call him B.O. and we all know what B.O. is! They both stink! LOL!!
Since I probably won't be able to wish everyone a happy 4th, I thought I would do that tonight.
HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE! Batters up!
I like to make it more formal and call him Abu Hussein Dumbama.
Hi Nan, Sounds like you all will be having a lot of fun in the 4th of July festivities. Liked that little one at bat. Is he someone you know or someone you are related to? He is so cute.
I will be going to my son’s. He has a big cookout and huge fireworks display after dark. He does have a wonderful show and spends lots of money on fireworks. My other son pitches in on some of the money for fireworks because they are like everything else these days.....very expensive! We will have about 32 people attending. He is making home cooked barbeque. he bought 3 Boston Butts and has to pull all that meat.
Wishing Everyone a very Happy 4th of July as we celebrate our country! We are going to have to fight to help save our country too!
Me, too! I sorta like that name but I like Dumbama best!
Hey, Nan! Happy 4th to you, too, dear friend! I was just answering an email and need to say goodnight now. Glad I got to see you first!
JC, that is about the cutest Betty Boop I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing!
Awwwwww....poor ole Marvin. That little kitty friend will make
him feel all better!
Sweet, Cat Man!
Sounds like you are in for a big 4th too. Family is great when it works out for them. All of our family is scattered across the country. We only have our youngest son, Emma's dad, close to us, but his wife does have family here so they go there. We are just so thankful that we have our only grandchild close enough so we can see her and keep her on some days.
Indeed we are going to have to fight for our country.
Glad I got to say hi to you too, Billie. Have a great 4th. Goodnight.
You are Most Welcome, TheConservativeParty, and I'll be Remembering your Aunt in my Prayers in the Coming Days as the Doctors Try to Discern what her Health Problem is.
These Scriptures are Some of my Very Favorites that have Brought Comfort to my Own Heart over the Years:
'You saw me Before I was Born, and Scheduled Each Day of my Life before I Began to Breath. Every Day was Recorded in Your Book.
How Precious it is, Lord, to Realize that You are Thinking about me Constantly. I can’t Even Count How Many Times a Day Your Thoughts Turn Towards me. And when I Awaken in the Morning, You are still Thinking of me.' (Ps.139:16-18)
'You have Seen me Tossing and Turning through the Night. You have Collected All my Tears and Preserved them in Your Bottle. You have Recorded Every One in Your Book.' (Ps.56:8)
What was funny to me, was that I used font size 8 to write ROTF - and then looked back and you had done the same thing!
Ya think that means we’s sistahs? LOL!
Thank you for your Prayers, and our Dear Lord Bless you!
Yorkie, Thank you for the Sweet Goodnight Pic you Posted to me Last Night, and Thank you to Everyone for the Pings.
Think we’ve got that thar mental temperature...(couldn’t spell that other word....LOL~~~~telopathy, telapathy, tellawoman....
Thats just about the cutest poem I’ve read, Jack, and I love the picture....so darling.
So cute! That waitig girl gif. :)
Man! Sooooo much rain for You!
Months & months worth...don’t float away!
When my wife accepted a position as Director of Special Education in a school district many miles from our home, it resulted in a very long commute each day. It was tolerable in the short term, but neither of us could see her doing this indefinitely. So we decided to relocate to another city halfway between our two jobs.
The real estate agent was not optimistic about our home selling quickly. Market trends showed many homes for sale with few buyers. After much prayer and strenuous cleaning, we finally put our home up for sale. To our surprise, our house sold in less than 3 weeks!
Sometimes I feel guilty about receiving material blessings. With so many needs around the world, why should I expect divine intervention in selling a home? Then I remember Jobs reply to his wife: Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity? (Job 2:10).
This verse is most often applied to accepting disappointment. But the principle also applies to being grateful for blessings. The apostle Paul had learned how to rejoice in plenty and in want (Phil. 4:10-13). God has an interest in teaching us contentment through both gains and losses. Thanking God in all circumstances recognizes His sovereignty and nurtures a response of faith. Dennis Fisher
Thank you for pinging everyone to this prayer request, Kitty.
TCP, your Aunt Mickey is in my prayers. I’m praying that the doctors will be able to determine and treat whatever is causing her health problems.
Father, please ease Aunt Mickey’s fears and worry. Please guide her medical caregivers in finding and treating her needs. Please Bless and comfort her as you hold her in your healing embrace. We ask this in Jesus Name.Amen
This is a really cute poem, Jack, and I love your graphic.
Thank you for sharing your poems with us.
Have a Happy 4th.
Love your Betty Boop graphic, Jaycee. She is ready for RedFriday and Independence Day. Thank you.
Good morning, Nan.
Emma is so cute. Thank you for sharing this sweet picture with us.
Happy 4th of July to you and your family. We will be at the local Tea Party tomorrow.
I need to be there before 8:00 so I will be missing tomorrow. FR is going to have an info booth there. Lori and JK have been putting a lot of time into this event. They are expecting a minimum of 15,000 and hoping for 25,000. It should be a fun day.
Have a Fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.
Yep, I found the new router power cord but getting it and then getting back online yesterday took all of my freeping time for the day.
Marissa has been asking if we can move to a neighborhood and after yesterday, I think she has a good idea. :)
I forgot my ping list on my post # 185....Oooops again!
I noticed it was sorta cooling down yesterday but this low temp. this morning truly surprised me! Don’t worry, it will warm up! Probably a storm somewhere around bringing us cooler temps.
Guess I am doing a little better after my accident. There’s so much to take care of and that bothers me. Even though my insurance agent has done the most work! A few aches and pains that hot showers and the bed buddy helps with a lot. I am mostly trying to keep going. And I do think how much worse it could have been.
I understand you had a very trying day yesterday. These computers are always going to have some problems along the way but oh, so worth it when we need them, aren’t they?
Before this cool spell it had been hot this week...as I am adding water to the pool this morning. It evaporates in the hot weather! Also filled up one of the birdbaths that was nearly empty. It has a little pump in it, so you have to watch it or you’ll burn up the pump.
Enjoy your day, Amy, if you can....LOL! Happy 4th of July also!
Very lovely graphics and greetings this morning ladies! Thank you all so much.
Thank you, Silverleaf. Billie made today’s Graphics; aren’t they beautiful?
It is so good to see you again. Welcome back. Hope you make a habit of stopping by to say hello more often.
Are you attending a Tea Party tomorrow? We will be going to the Central Valley Tea Party in Tulare at the Agri Center. A large crowd is expected. Estimates are between 15,000 and 25,000, with people coming in from Bakersfield to the south and Modesto to the north.
Have a safe and fun July 4th weekend.
Great Flag graphic, Jaycee. Thank you.
God Bless our military, past and present, for defending our FReedoms at home and abroad.
Enjoy the July 4th celebrations with your family.
Thank you for the lovely blessings in our Daily Bread, Mr. Mayor!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful and blessed 4th of July! We all have much to be thankful for, even though there
may be many stumbling blocks in our way. God always brings us through those times if we only ask.
Good to hear that the hot showers and the bed buddy are taking care of the aches.
My day was a little trying. I hate computers but am lost without it. :)
In my haste to get my internet connection back before leaving for the afternoon, I put a scratch on the back door of my van. Hubby spotted it right away. I sideswiped a shopping cart. Grrrr. The van is not new but this is the first scratch.
Marissa and I will be leaving about 2:30 again today for the last day of swim lessons. Next week she will be bored but I will be celebrating a week with some quiet time.
LOL on your Bird Flu/Swine Flu posts.
Thanks for the laughs.
Unfortunately our tea parrty was yesterday when many of us had to work.
Love to attend a tea party. but I worry about exposing the children to being photographed by obama’s agents and the long term repercussions if he reigns for the next 8 years or more.
So sad to say this on this holiday to celebrate Independence Day.
I thought yesterday’s graphic was pretty. I looked for something easy to post and one that had not been used for awhile.
I am so thankful that I saved all of the graphics from the original Amy’s Place. I cannot toss them. You and Lori put too much work into them.
It didn’t occur to me to go to Walmart for that power cable. I’m glad that the Office Depot person suggested that I check there; otherwise it would have taken me at least another hour.
I am so looking forward to next week. It is so nice having Marissa home but when she is in school, I have more time for myself. I guess you can’t please me. LOL
Thanks for helping out yesterday, Billie. I really appreciate it.
Great graphic, Billie..beautiful.!
I am so glad you got your computer running , Amy,and happy next week looks less hectic..
I’ve been trying to stay off the computer except to get Sunday ready...just protecting my creaky bones and back..It is so hard to stay away!
