I am pinging this in case the original unsourced posting is removed.
I guess you can’t take the boy out of the ‘hood.
Prayers for the family.
Lots of well-known people dying these days...
Thats just messed up
isn’t he a ccw holder too?
Murder/suicide? Was McNair married? Was the 2nd body male or female?
>>isnt he a ccw holder too?<<
Good question... More ironic if he was.
THat is f’d.
God take his soul. RIP Steve.
Thanks. This one has reputable clickable links.
That other guy? I thought it was another celebrity death hoax.
NO further details at this time.
2nd body was female.
Wikipedia already has the report of his death posted. That was quick.
Wiki’s article doesn’t mention a wife but does mention his son, Steve Jr. who is a wide receiver at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Prayers for the family.
Sounds real bad.
Don’t really know what to say........This is shocking news.
Prayers to the McNair family and the Titans organization.....
Other thread says wife shot him and then herself.
Prayers for his family and friends.....I always liked the guy.....
You said — Wikipedia already has the report of his death posted. That was quick.
That reminds me of the movie “Minority Report” (set in the future about 50 years). You saw some guy sitting and reading a newspaper on the subway train, and the articles would change and “update” right while the guy was reading it...
I think it was shown as a USA Today paper that the guy had and the headline and article reformatted and changed while he was holding the paper... LOL..
So, I guess Wikipedia is not too far behind.... rewriting their articles right as the circumstances change... :-)
Already seem to be calling it a murder-suicide....
There are a couple of white Centers named Barrett Robbins and Mike Webster that would like to have a word with you.
Nothing to do with the “hood.” We know NOTHING about what happened. Could be a romantic entanglement or jealousy or wrong place and wrong time....
Hey, I posted a news source.
And I am sure right about famous people kicking off.
I saw the 1999 Rams/Titan’s game in person. That last yard short was one of the most significant SB plays ever.
OOps. wrong thread — I posted the murder/suicide link on another thread.
But I still think this is ‘hood-related.
I am stunned......
There has never tougher QB to ever don a helmet and shoulder pads in the history of the NFL.
ESPN finally reporting it on TV. No detailed circumstances yet...
At the end it mentions his wife and four children.
From all I've heard, he's from the country, not the hood.
In some way shape or form drugs are involved
he was a CCW holder when he got popped for DUI a few years ago. either the charges were dropped or he was acquitted. Don’t know if he lost the CCW anyway.
>>From all I’ve heard, he’s from the country, not the hood.<<
Probably right — post in haste, repent at leisure.
But it is getting strange — early reports of murder/suicide...
No arguement here. As a Steeler fan, I remember we always had trouble with this guy. I’d always get irked when we’d blitz d-backs. Even when standing in the pocket, he’d shrug them off like they were little kids. It took at least a linebacker to bring that guy down. McNair was one helluva QB.
Wow...Oak Grove. That brings back memories. I went to college in Hattiesburg.
What killed him?
“That last yard short was one of the most significant SB plays ever.”
Lest we forget, IF Dyson had scored, with the subsequent PAT the Titans would have only TIED the St. Louis Rams, NOT won the Superbowl on the last play of the game
How do they know it was a suicide and not an honor killing?
Still under investigation. Sounds like a murder-suicide from the info so far.
Honor killings involve the man killing the woman. Plus, it doesn’t sound like either of them are even Muslims.
If it was an honor killing the woman’s family or even an ex could have killed them both.
Sahel Kazemi is Iranian.

This is Steve McNair the article is about. The guy was an injury waiting to happen, playing in an era where you cannot hit a QB, and he constantly missed games and/or started games and came out within the first couple plays. Tough, not even close.
It is very obvious that you don’t know much about the game and how Steve McNair played it. If you did, you would know better.
Take this from me, a former collegiate player....McNair was tougher than any QB in the game. He did not just sit back in the pocket. He ran the ball, blocked, and threw the ball. It was unbelievable how much punishment he dealt out and received and still played on.
I know the guy was constantly missing games for one injury or another. How tough can you be when you cannot stay on the field? How about when you are taking injuries without even being hit? How many times did this guy get an injury in practice? This guy’s supposed “toughness” was just media hype and excuse making.
Like I said earlier , you don’t know squat about the game or how Steve McNair played the game.
