This is going to be fun! Since Friday, the number of her followers has increased by almost 30,000.

Same goes for the Palin Ping! The rate of sign-ups has gone through the roof... we may soon reach 280 FReepers.

Question, since I am new to Twitter nation, now that she will no longer be Governor, can she change her twitter name, because right now its AKGovSarahPalin, since she won’t be Governor anymore, she can’t use that name, can she change it to something else, SarahPalin, or whatever, but still keep the followers, it would be kinda dumb to have to start all over again

Why? That's how Twitter works. You are following the tweets. If you go to the link, you'll notice that they are indeed called followers.

(I know that you think about "following a leader"). I am referring to Twitter.

Once she has been a governor, she can always be referred to as "Governor."

You can change your Twitter name quite easily in the profile settings (like for ladies assuming married names and the like). No problem!
