The photo is from 2009 and comes from Chris Miller of the AP.

I could be wrong on this, but I know Photoshop and that adjustment would not be hard.

If true would just be another indication of how reckless and out of hand the AP still is.

I don't doubt that AP tries to pick the least flattering pictures of conservatives. However, I very much doubt that they photoshopped it because: (1)It doesn't look that bad, and (2) Hard working people often don't get enough sleep.

Because of the bags under my hard working eyes, I often wear my glasses when I don't really need to. I suspect many other do as well. Maybe Sarah does. I always thought she was more attractive without the glasses.

Blood shot eyes are the result of stress, hard works, short nights... I guess Sarah had all of that often enough a Mom and Governor.

Also her eyes have that slight gaze. It's noticeable on many photos. It's very very cute IMO.

Maybe because of the shape of her eyeballs or the possibility that she has some other reason that Lasik can’t be performed. You don’t simply “try” surgery. I’ve been examined for both contacts and laser surgery and was not a candidate for either.

I think she uses her glasses because:

1. they’d say she was too pretty if she didn’t and then would write her off as a bimbo.

2. she needs them to see clearly and doesn’t like contacts.

3. the glasses give her some visual ‘gravitas’ (see #1).

I’m going with #2 but she probably would be attacked as too pretty if she didn’t have them.

I seem to recall having seen that pic before - or one very similar to it - and didn’t notice the red eyes. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to find out they doctored it.

It is not the most flattering angle which is probably the reason they used it but it doesn't look like anything is amiss to me. She is a 40+ female and no discernible wrinkles, lines or discolorations on her face. I think she is gorgeous.

ImageMagick is a really great program, I batch process photo’s with it on an almost daily basis. Could not maintain 37,000 website images plus thumbnails without it.

Use it command line, very fast.
