Cuss and more cussing.

My computer went crazy and may do so again.

I spent 3 hours attempting to get it working and have dumped all that I had working........

I am here, on a bare boned attempt, do not know if I will crash for ever, or if it was a glitch.

Don’t want folks having to guess at my where abouts.

I think the 2 babies are eating and am almost sure that I caught one drinking water.

Humane Society officer said the dogs had not been bailed out of jail.

So goes real life.

Hugs to all of you.

Thank you for the recipe.

You need to ask Delawhere how he makes the chips and uses them.

Plus now he is making flour of the zucchini.

My grandmother, boiled tilldone, drained very well, then fried them in cast iron skillet, until almost a brown mass......and they were good.

You could have served them for breakfast, in scrambled eggs.

The joys of motherhood.

Vegetables, reminds me of my brothers kids, Kendall at 10 years and his twin sisters at 9 years.

I told Kendall to eat the veggies on his plate, that is what would put the hair on his chest.

The next time I looked at the twins, Jana and Jeanette were peeking down the front of their blouses, then spoke up and said “Aunt Ruth, we do not want hair on our chest!!!”

You’re (Probably) a Federal Criminal

Federal law now criminalizes activities that the average person would never
dream would land him in prison. Consequently, every year, thousands of
upstanding, responsible Americans run afoul of some incomprehensible federal
law and end up serving time in federal prison.

With all the attention that’s been paid lately to long federal sentences for
drug offenders, it’s surprising that a far more troubling phenomenon has
barely hit the media’s radar screen. Every year, thousands of upstanding,
responsible Americans run afoul of some incomprehensible federal law or
regulation and end up serving time in federal prison.

continues and if this is already happening, think of the future.

Publix Issues Voluntary Recall on Publix Gourmet Peanut Mix Because of Possible Health Risk

Contact:
Maria Brous
863-680-5339

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — LAKELAND, Fla., Feb. 4, 2009 — Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for Publix Gourmet Peanut Mix. The product contains peanut products that are from Peanut Corporation of America, which has been implicated in a national outbreak of Salmonella. Product was distributed to Publix stores for retail sale. The recalled product has a UPC number of: 41415 - 06786 and is packaged in a 28 ounce plastic tamper resistant container.

“As part of our commitment to food safety and in cooperation with the FDA, we are issuing this voluntarily recall,” said Maria Brous, Publix director of media and community relations. “Publix stores discontinued the sale of this item prior to the recall; however, since some customers may still have the peanut mix in their homes, we wanted to take every precaution. To date, there have been no reported cases of illness. Consumers who have purchased the product in question may return the product to their local store for a full refund. Publix customers with additional questions may call our Consumer Relations department at 1-800-242-1227 or by visiting our website at www.publix.com.”

I think I remember DW saying once not to leave them in the canner. But I don’t know why because it’s also been said that the slower they cool, the better.

If Eagle says it’s fine, then I’m sure it is.

Yup - I love them pings!

LOL! I loved Steve Martin in that movie. If only I could remember the name. All I can think of is ‘The Idiot’. But no, that’s a Dostoyevski book. Funny how my mind mixes things up the older I get ;)

What they have to do then,is tolerate a certain level or environmentally unfriendly creature comforts to the unwashed so that we can continue to support them in the manner in which they are accustomed to live

It's gonna backfire on them as far as I'm concerned. I'm more than happy to live a minimalist existence as far as material possessions go. I'm both starting my survivalist life and my practicing civil disobedience by refusing to support this corrupt government. Much as Thoreau did 150 years ago, but today the government is even more invasive and confiscatory.

Unfortunately, most of the population is obcessed with material items. And can't use simple math to calculate how much they are paying in taxes. I wish everyone were aware of how heavy a burden taxes are, whether called taxes, fees, or any other name.

In many countries in the Western world there will be a severe depression and it will be the end of the welfare state. Most private and state pension schemes are also likely to collapse. ... Different type of government leaders and regimes are likely to result from this.

I don't consider any of that to be a bad thing. That's what it'll take to turn the attitude of the American people back to where it should be, IMO. And end up saving the country from socialism.

One of my pet peeves, with all this immigration, is that today, they rush to throw out the old ways and be new Americans.

Amen to that granny.

Went to Walmart with my husband about 7 pm a few days ago. I usually go before 9am before all the illegals invade the store. He was so disgusted with not hearing one word of English, with kids running unsupervised all over, with merchandise thrown all over the floor - he finally said maybe it's time we leave Mexifornia. He needs a reality check like this once in a while - between only going to work and home, he misses what's going on and how bad it is getting here. That's why I purposedly didn't go to Target that night. ;)

Now, I need to find out which states still resemble the U.S. I know Texas is lost, been there about 4 years ago. Probably all of the SW is lost also.

Thank you for all the work that you have done on all 3 threads, and for keeping the Yahoo group going for us all, if we should need it.

Is this group something I should know about? ie,. invite myself to? ;)

Oh, granny, what a heartbreaking story. I’m so sorry about your Mama Siamese cat.

What a horrible thing to happen and even worse for you to see it and have nobody help. Thank goodness the Animal Control lady is a good person and is there to help. I hope she gets the other dog and the pair get put to sleep.

They take the money, they milk the middle class, they just don’t spend it where they say they do.

Thank you for the FerFal post, he sure shows what is coming for us.

I must've been confused. I thought we were there already! I guess it can always get worse...

I was surprised that the bulk of the beans fit into the (7) quart jars I was canning.

I'm always amazed just how much 7 quart jars will hold. I haven't done any veggies yet, but the 20 pounds of round steak I bought filled up the jars with nothing left over for dinner!
