(Conflict of interest vanity) Huckabee using his FNC spot to undermine 2012 rival Palin!
The usually responsible Fox News Channel | July 24, 2009

Posted on 07/24/2009 5:21:24 PM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network

OK sorry for the vanity, but I'm darn frustrated at what I just saw on my favorite channel - FNC.

I've been a daily, loyal viewer since they came online and first begin their uphill struggle against then-dominant CNN. No fair weather viewer here. When I'm not watching FNC, usually I've got Fox Business Channel in the background. So it takes a lot for Fox to tee me off like this. But I'm plenty teed off:

(Embarrasingly obvious) Republican 2012 candidate wannabe Mike Huckabee, is filling in for BOR today.

So far so good. Huckabee works for Fox, fair and square. But he leads his guest spot with - a smear at Sarah Palin!

How does the (embarrasingly obvious) Hucakabee start the show? Taking note of the weekend Governor Palin decides to change direction - starting this weekend - to narrate she is "losing popularity".

BUNK!!!

FNC should be better than this!

Mike Huckabee should be better than this. And he should step up to the plate and offer a retraction.

Recuse himself, from this "story". It's transparent and distasteful.

It's unseemly, and inappropriate for Huckabee to so obviously be ABUSING his spot at FNC to try to game for campaign advantage in 2012.

Huckabee stepped over the line, IMHO. Someone over at Fox needs to reign him in just a bit.

/irritated FNC fan rant off

Go Fox. :)

I agree and that is the first thing I thought as well. Huckabee strikes me as that type of church member who talks the good talk but then slanders you behind your back. The Palin episode has not aired yet I suspect he’ll make underhanded comments kinda like he tried to make an issue of Romney’s mormonism while claiming he wasn’t making as issue of it.

No one gives a damn about HuckaLoser. He can’t even raise money for his Pac. He lets people go cause they are not making any money. I twittered him and told him to get over himself, Sarah is POPULAR and he is YESTERDAY’S news. I expect better from Fox News but even they have gone a little left in the past few months. Pretty soon this will be my only place to get news from, because I have ZERO trust in the media

Huckabee should know about not being popular. He never was. The debates proved he’s nothing more than the whiny, ‘what about me’ jokester dork who never played with the big dogs.

Part of the reason for Palin’s lower number (40% approve BTW) is because alot of people dont know the REAL STORY behind the so called ethics investigations. Many people just read the headlines and dont bother to real inform themselves about what going on there.

The Washington Compost poll is RIDICULOUS. I look at the Rasmussen poll and see all I have to see. 70+ percent approval from the GOP, 20 percent approval from Dems, and rising poll numbers with Independents. Rasmussen is MUCH more reliable then a newspaper that is in the tank for Obama. What next, a Huffington Post poll LOL

Dem-leaning PPP (an independent pollster who polls for actual voters, not random adults like the WaPo poll) has her overall approval/disapproval at 47/45. Obama is 48/49 according to Zogby and 49/51 according to Rasmussen.

Your point is well-taken. The media uses their skewed polls to drive a narrative because they know people just skim the headlines.

Ms. Carpenter from the Washington Times is mopping the floor with the democrat stooge (who seems gay, somehow).

Wow.

Even Huckabee is backing Palin now. :) Begrudgingly, but he’s standing up for her.

The democrat on this segment was in the words of Dick Cheney "a major league ***hole". He actually said Palin was the most dishonest person since Nixon. That means I geuss he would call Clinton honest. Enough said. This guy was the biggest POS I've seen in quite some time. Wonder how many women he's slapped around in his lifetime.

Does anyone know the source of the accusation that Palin's teleprompter didn't go out during her RNC speech. Moveon.org? DailyKos?

He wouldn't let Carpenter speak without immediatley interrupting her.

The democrat stooge (a former aide to Biden, didn’t bother to notice his name) was ranting about Palin - saying she belonged typecast in a show like Housewives of OC I think he said - and just was whining absurdly.

As you might expect, that set Carpenter off pretty good. :)

At that point even Huckabee asked him pointedly, did he not acknowledge (my words not Huck’s) that Palin was treated from day one, differently than every other national figure?

The democrat stooge humphed, and then sort of said yes he did recognize that - the accused Palin of viciously attacking Obama as some sort of rationale, or distraction.

He was utterly deranged.

Then again, what else have we come to expect?

She clearly, terrifies them.

I’m tired of Huckabee’s fund raising phone calls. I got the second one last week. The message is ALL about him and fighting his good fight. Trouble is you never know for sure which side Huck will fall on. Do these guys ever STOP running for office? Supporting Huckabbe is the one of the two things I hold against Duncan Hunter.

Brother Huck’s Travelin’ Salvation Show

http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/2008/01/brother-hucks-traveling-salvation-show.html

Cold January night.......
And the propaganda’s hanging down
And conservatives on the ground feelin’ beat.
Move up the road to the outside of town
And the sound of that good liberal beat!

Sits a ragged governor Where there ain’t no truth,
And that gospel group tellin’ you and me

It’s Huck, Brother Huck,
say Brother Huck’s Travelin’ Salvation Show!
Pack up anchor babies and grab the old ladies
And ev’ryone cries ‘cause everyone knows
Brother Huck’s lies.

Halle- Hallelujah......

Starting soft and slow
Like a small town hick

And when he lets go,
Half the country’s sick!

It’s Huck, Huck Love,
say Brother Huck’s Travelin’ Salvation Show!
Take an old wrestler ,
a ‘B’ movie hustler And ev’ryone goes,
‘cause everyone knows
Brother Huck’s flam flam show.

Hallelujah!
