I’ll wait for official confirmation. Favre is the NFL’s version of Romney.

wouldn’t that be something. I say bring back Bart Starr (and what the hell, Jimmy Taylor and Paul Hornung also)for that backfield!

Next year the same story will get a little less press, as the following year, etc.

He should have hung it up before last year.

The last few games with the Jets were pathetic, but, I thoroughly enjoyed it, because I want anyone who plays for the god-awful Jets to FAIL.

Good choice although I was looking forward to watching his face when the Bears beat him. He had become a good win opportunity for them.

Brett provided a lot of Sunday afternoon entertainment over the past couple of decades. I enjoyed watching him on the tube and in GB. Thanks for memories !

It’s Favre. Wait until the season starts and see if he un-retires yet again.

I’m thinking the same thing.

His behavior and actions have become so erratic that in about a month from now, I can easily see him show up at a press conference and say “I’ve decided to un-retire. My arm feels good and I’m ready to go”.

Now whether the Vikings are ready to put up the “drama” - well, that’s a different story. I’m starting to wonder if they’re getting a little sick of the “drama” by now and are bvasically saying “Screw it! We’ll take our chances with Rosenfels and Jackson”.

In the future one of the Trivial Pursuit cards will read:

"In what year did Brett Favre finally retire ?

1. 2011
2. 2010
3. 2009
4. 2008
5. 2007
