IMO, it simply points out how easy it is to accomplish the releasing of one’s own birth certificate.
McCain did it.
Kerry never released his military records...but it would have been easy to do.
Simple for Obama and simple for Bill. All they have to do is say, “Release my birth certificate.”
What could be easier?
Yes, I agree 100% that Obama should release his original, long-form birth certificate.
I may have misread the intention of the original posting.
Many people with whom I have disagreed on the birth certificate issue have asked me to produce mine - I guess my response was to them and not your post.

Actually, the OP has an interesting point. Imagine a crowd of people in front of the WH ALL holding up official copies of their actual birth certificates. ESPECIALLY a few from the same hospital(s) in Hawaii where zero was allegedly born.
I think you make a good point.
Why WOULD Obama release his brith certificate? However strongly some people doubt his status as a natural born citizen the fact remains that the vast majority of Americans either do not doubt or don’t care. As long as this is in the news people aren’t talking about stopping health care - they’re talking about “those craaaazy birthers!” This works to his advantage.
I have come to the conclusion that there is no such document. I do not believe that Obama's birth was recorded anywhere until well after his birth.
I would, however, like to see the "Vital records" which "verify" that Obama was born in Hawaii and is a Natural Born Citizen.
We have been told that these documents "exist" but Obama is stonewalling on releasing them. Obviously he's hiding something. Like maybe his real name.
The first document in existence that we know of that has his name on it is the Indonesian school registration that has his name as Barry Soetoro. The birth announcement did not state his name, only the name of the parents (who apparently didn't live at the address on the announcement). And FWIW, Obama does not look anything like his "father" but bears a striking resemblance to Marshall Davis, who was Obama's mother's "close friend".

John McCain has never publicly displayed his BC. According to WaPo reporter Michael Dobbs, a McCain aide showed him the BC, which stated he was born at the naval base hospital at Coco Solo, Canal Zone. McCain’s mom, in her 90’s and still quite sharp, says the same thing. Good enough for me. The IMHO rather silly argument over McCain was whether or not being born of two American parents was sufficient to qualify him. The BC was not an issue.
