Kerger said that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's $430 million budget for this year was left intact by President Barack Obama, in contrast to the Bush administration's repeated bids to reduce or eliminate the federal subsidy. Kerger says Congress countered Bush's actions.

You know what? I GAVE to PBS years ago (yes, I admit it) until they couldn’t decide to ‘stay on the air’. The station cuts out ALL THE DAMNED TIME!!!!!! (TO THIS DAY!!!) I remember trying to record a Ken Burns documentary on the Civil War. Disaster. Had to wait a couple of years to see the damned thing in full.

PBS leads is viewers to think the viewers support it with their fund raising dog and pony shows. Most of the money comes from global corporate donors and the government. These are donors who look to control the idiots who watch the crap they broadcast. A lot of the Republicans don't want to offend their corporate sponsors. In essence, both parties will screw the individual for their own interests.

Doesn’t PBS get enough dough from all the merchandise it sells? DVDs of all their shows, Sesame Street stuff, even PBS-branded coffee...
