The totally real and official honest-to-Allah Kenyan ... (barf, but look at comments)

If there's one country that you know won't scam you, it's Kenya. But the infidels are criticizing the newly-discovered Kenyan birth certificate, anyway. Here's what the unbelievers are saying:

- First, the hospital is the "Coast Provincial General Hospital" (sometimes said to be Coast Province General Hospital), not "Coast General Hospital" printed on the document.

- Second, Kenya was a Dominion the date this certificate was allegedly issued. It would not become a republic (as stated on the document) for eight more months.

- Third, Mombasa was in Zanzibar when Obama was born, not in Kenya, as the document says.

- Fifth, the document's number, "47O44-- 47," is Obama's age when he became president, followed by the letter "O" (not a zero) followed by "44" -- because he is the 44th president!

- Sixth, "EF Lavender" is a laundry detergent, not the registrar of births.

- Seventh, would a mostly Muslim nation actually say "Christian name" (as opposed to "Name") on an official birth certificate?

- Eighth, Barack Obama's father was 24 years old when his son was born, not 26.

- Ninth, it was the "Central Nyanza District," not "Nyanza Province".

- The document is dated Saturday, 5 August 1964. Kenyan government offices closed on Friday (Muslim sabbath) and on Saturday.

- Officials of Coast Province General Hospital report: “We do not have computerized records going back to the 1960s and can only sort through our archives by hand.”

- Dr. Christopher Mwanga, an administrator at the Mombasa hospital says, “We have searched for all the names of babies born on Aug. 4, 1961and have not found the name of Barack Hussein Obama. That is all I can tell you.”

Clearly Dr. Mwanga is a co-conspirator. But some rational individuals might conclude from all this that the Birthers just got played.

AS STATED IN THE TITLE, this is barf-worthy...but in looking at the comments, there were a couple that are interesting:

I am Kenyan born and raised here. I have same type birth certificate as I born February 1961. The hospital name is the same on my certificate.

Many Kenyan at that time very limited use of English and translation was Coast General hosptial in our lanquage.

I agree Kenyan not province for 8 more months however stationary was change early and fact that that this is a copy of certificate is reason why republic of Kenya letterhead at bottom. My mother she work there at the time in office and confirm this. It say the same on mine also on my cousin born in March 1962 but get copy in 1964 just like Obama on his certificate.

Mombasa was part kenya but also othe province use name Momabasa. I tell you this name popular and also use in 3 other province.

On my cousin mine and even sister certificate is say mombasa. This is special name. Honorable name and used for our city many years before officially named. So clerk in office type Mombasa as it is symbol of our pride in Kenya nation.

My certificate end in of 41. So Am I 41 president? You make no sense.

E.F. lavender maybe detergent but also registrar. He still alive today. He live near MM Shah school. He was British immigrant when Kenya British colony. Just because man have same name as soap so he has to be same man? so if my name is hershey I am automatically the man who make hershey chocolate. You idiot man. I laugh.

Muslim or christian not important . We are british colony at time and they require list …

And this one from the same person:

On 8/3/09 at 02:22 AM, realkenyan wrote:

Finally man.

His father age is what he wrote and can be transcription error.

Why you so upset cause your president scam you. haha

Welcom have Kenyan as presdient. haha We are proud he come from here and full you into electing him.

Finally african take white man thrown hahha

Now, obviously anybody can write anything on the Internet, but the comments are interesting.

The one verifiable fact is that there is an M M Shah school in Kisumu.

The founding fathers specified the “Natural Born” Citizen requirement for the office of President for a reason. They fully understood the political intrigue of Europe and especially England as a threat to a free nation.

“Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government. “

James Madison

- Sixth, "EF Lavender" is a laundry detergent, not the registrar of births.

It's also perfectly reasonable name --- and other people who lived in Kenya have had it, including one Edward Lavendar who was buried in 1955 in Nairobi's City Park Cemetery: http://www.eamemorials.co.uk/EAMemorials/KENYA/Nairobi%20City%20Park%20Cemetery/CityPark1171.htm

Kenya is not anything close to a ‘Muslim’ country. According to Wikipedia (I know...), it’s about 80% Christian (Protestant / Catholic).

Is this “realkenyan” a member of FR or did these comments come from another site ? Can’t tell if he is ‘proud’ of Obama (as he stated) or if he might be willing to cooperate by submitting his birth cert to this site or Orly. That is, assuming he is a real person. Who knows anymore ? Anyway, thanks for the post !

Didn't assert one thing or another on the veracity of the comments. I just think they're interesting.

I’m hoping that somebody somewhere today will share another birth certification issued by Kenya in early 1964 for comparison. How hard could that be??

Yes, I agree ! WND said they had viewed other similar Kenyan Birth Cert’s and they had similar format as this one. Two people on this site have submitted comments that WND said they had Kenyan BCs signed by E F Lavender, but that is not on the WND web site. I “REALLY” hope there is something to this since Orly already subpoenaed Hillary and introduced this document as an exhibit in her case ? IMHO, maybe they could’ve waited a couple of days to verify the Volume and Page with the British authorities, because if this is a hoax, will GREATLY hurt our credibility....notice the main stream media isn’t even TOUCHING this “AT ALL”, but you can be sure, if it is a hoax, it’ll be front page news in a matter of seconds ! Pathetic ! I just saw 5 seconds ago on YAHOO home page GIANT photo of Lou Dobbs, who is now being NATIONALLY criticized for his comments ! UNBELIEVABLE !

And thank you, markomalley, for staying on top of this issue.

In 1961 Kenya had a British administration...

1. Muslim days of the week would not have been recognized

2. Britian and British colonies were Christian and Church of England if that matters...

3. “Christian name” was common on British documents...my own “British” birth certificate notes “Christian or first names” Names were “Christian” and “surname”

4. Kenya was a Republic in 1964 when that document was issued...

The real issue is that regardless of where Obama was born, he was a British citizen at birth through his father as his citizenship was governed under the British Nationality Act of 1948. He admitted as much on his official Fight the Smears website. The question, to paraphrase from Leo Donofrio, Esq., is this: How can a natural born United States citizen be governed at birth by British/foreign citizenship law?

Because we fought a war a couple hundred years ago to ensure we weren't ruled by British law?

Man, I don't want to get into this...

The 14th Amendment says that if he was born in the US, he is a US citizen.

The question, to paraphrase from Leo Donofrio, Esq., is this: How can a natural born United States citizen be governed at birth by British/foreign citizenship law?

If the US citizen at birth is a dual citizen, due to his father's citizenship.

"The 14th Amendment says that if he was born in the US, he is a US citizen."

It's not about him being a "citizen", it's about him being a "natural born citizen" which is what Article 2, Section 1 of the United States Constitution requires for President and Vice President. Apples and Oranges, anotherwords.

*sigh*

I'm one of those folks who have the belief that "citizen by birth" = "natural born citizen"

I've had about three or four arguments in the past three days about that. I've searched through court decisions on the subject; I've looked through the statutes on it. I've even looked through de Vattel on the subject. Anything credible I've seen through this has only reinforced my beliefs.

So, let's just save some time.

Go ahead and call me an Obama-loving Koskid and get it over with.

No offense, but it would just be quicker that way.

;-)

Please do me a favor and don't put words in my mouth. I haven't called anyone I disagree with on this issue a "Koskid" or troll or anything else. I've tried to explain my beliefs, but that's as far as it goes. Many think that the "birther" issue is a sideshow that is keeping us from fighting against socialized medicine, cap & trade and the rest of the Obama agenda. I disagree: We can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Sorry.

So far, every time I've gotten into an extended "citizen by birth vs natural born citizen" discussion, it's ended up coming to that.

So let's just agree to disagree on that and press on.

We can walk and chew gum at the same time.

True.
