Calling all FReepers: Babs Boxer Objects to Protesters Being Too 'Well Dressed'
8/5/2009 | Me

Posted on 08/05/2009 7:59:13 PM PDT by RushIsMyTeddyBear

Since 'Babs' Boxer thinks those who are truly bringing their questions and concerns to town halls in this country are wearing 'Brooks Brothers'.....I propose that we 'dress up a bit' to 'punch back' with lots of sarcasm and humor (it gets them every time). BTW....Salvation Army is your friend when getting 'creative' (goes to a GREAT cause, too).

Doesn't matter WHAT you wear. Go in comfort...whether straight off of work, etc. Just grab a neck tie, old tux tie, even cut one out of construction paper (whatever)....women can grab a feather boa, wear BIG dangly, bling-bling earrings, tiara, make a crown(whatever)....and just slip it on top of what you're wearing. Get CREATIVE. Fight fire with fire. Be outraged and fight back with sarcasm.

Source, please?

Not that I doubt she said something like this, but it would would be nice to know the context, audience, reaction, etc.

If she dares to say anything like this at a “town hall meeting”, I suggest everyone who is offended by it should strip to their underwear immediately.

Heck, I’m just going to wear overalls and bring a pitchfork. Obama once seemed to indicate that was appropriate attire for these sort of things.

Oddly, you can buy all sorts of clothing at Tractor Supply...and cheap chinese tools, dog food... but you cannot buy tractor supplies there.

I am not kidding, Sir. I tried.

Hydraulic oil... maybe some hydraulic fittings... motor oil...

But yeah, no tractor supplies.

I saw a typical protestor from the lib side on here a few posts back, wearing a diaper and with the obama symbol painted on his bare belly, blowing a flute and dancing in the street LOL. No one around him even seems phased.

In Minnesota, we'd elect him to be our Senator.

Perhaps the proper dress code for being in the presence of Senator Boxer would be the standard Lady Senator attire of a red suit, pearls, and two and a half inch heels.

I would attend with a ‘teddy’....but that would be a disastrous sight. I’m quite afraid of water and confined spaces.

My dead-end dirt lane leads to a whole mountain devoted to being a hunt club/shooting range, owned by my dad.

We don’t get many liberal “vahcahtioners”....:)

Once, we had some obvious “yew ain’t fum aroun’ hyeer, air ya?” hippies who thought they’d go “exploring” up that way and before they got through the [closed!] hunt club gate, the driver spied a shotgun.

They went off to be one with mother nature, elsewhere.

[they seriously believed it was perfectly okay just to go up and wander around for the day...musta missed all the “dire warning” signs posted everywhere]

Oh it works alright.
The protein ( when it dries) pretty much rivals glue.
Its just walking around with Egg in your hair might be a little gross- :-)
But when I was much younger, I had friends with BIG mohawks and Liberty Spikes that swore by this.
I on the other hand was more Billy Idol. If I let my hair grow out, its way more Andy Gibb than punk rock ;-)

I live pretty far in the sticks and have heard Savage talk about “red diaper doper babies” and often wondered about them. Thank you for posting a picture; I doubt one will ever show up here. The local cowboys would sure have some fun if one ever did show up in these parts.
