And the bride wore white - long, curly white strands of wool.

Louise Fairburn, who is an award-winning sheep breeder, decided to get married in a fleece from her own flock.

She designed the gown and took wool from her favourite rare Lincoln Longwool, Olivia.

And she extended the theme to the rest of her big day, putting her groom Ian, 42, in a waistcoat made from wool.

Mrs Fairburn even carried a Bo Peep-style crook and the ring bearer's cushion was made from a fleece....

Fashionistas, this is the most original and lovely hand-made wedding dress and theme that I have ever seen — what do you think? God bless this couple who exalt in their English rural way of life.

That is absolutely AWESOME! I raise laying hens. If I ever get married again, I just don’t think a chicken feather wedding dress would look as nice, LOL!

I’ve already sent the story to others. One is a Brit who is sure to like the story too. : )

I looks like it would itch, and I don’t like the drop waist. The bridesmaids aren’t all that, either. But I agree with the God Bless them part.

I hate to say this, but I don’t like it.
She did a great job with the top.

To each her own, though.
Each of my girls plans to have a Polish Wedding with all the girls in ribbon skirts, aprons and flower crowns. This lady may not like that either.

Fashion-wise, I hate it; primarily for the bottom. I agree with the poster who thinks it looks like dredlocks. I love the top portion though.

Philosophically, however, I love the uniqueness of it. The sheep are just adorable too.

Coulda been worse, I guess. But it’s a shame the wool she raised wasn’t woven into some of the amazing fabrics English wool can become—feather-light, even semi-transparent yardgoods comfortable in the warmest summer. People think of wool as being only suitable for cold weather and don’t know how versatile it is.

Should the need arise, I will personally drive to WI with my glue gun and glue each feather onto a lovely sheath just for you. (Because, I think it could be just as awesome as the wool)

LOL!! Yes, I saw that wedding entrance on YouTube. They have a request now for contributions to a charity -- kind of a nice idea! Actually, I thought that was rather well done, since it looks like their pastor and families were delighted by it. But I dread even thinking about the rash of bad imitations that are sure to follow....

Good thing it didn't rain that day or the dress would have shrunk! LOL

I love the dress! It looks fun to wear!

It must look beautiful in RL. At first glance I thought it needed some beads for accent. On closer examination, I saw that she did use beads. The sunlight in the photo seems to have washed out the details.
Fantastic how she used the sheep's main characteristic of dreadlocks for the skirt. The contrast of the tight curls with fluffy ones is awesome.

Wonder if people had trouble keeping their hands off of her skirt.
It'd be cool to see the dress in motion when dancing.

Oh and her new hubby's vest is beautiful! WOW!

And lamb was on the wedding menu.

Guess they're not vegetarians! Also, very connected to the rural traditions. Grandma and Grandpa in the country had no qualms about strangling chickens or slaughtering hogs.
