How old?Before The War they had no problems at all with Hitler ands NAZIs. Not until Hitler attacked Stalin. In the space of a day they went from boosters to implacable enemies.

The article in full at the American Thinker site is worth reading and the title is kind of a sand-bagger to draw in the reader.
I think the usage of the term “liberal”, a generic term that in the 18th century included Burke as well as the New Whigs like Fox, is pretty well a useless term. Modern Democrats are plain leftists of the French era — a mob of centralizing revolutionaries ready to sacrifice individual lives and liberty for nebulous lofty centralized social goals and slogans.
The blood of the murdered Swiss guards, bleeding out red on the white of their uniforms, became the snatched up sign of murderous revolution taken a banners and apparel by the left at that time and it continues until today.
How can there be principles to those for whom everything is relative?
