Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay (R-Tex.) will be back in the spotlight this fall, but not because of political involvement. The conservative Texan will be a contestant on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."
ABC announced this season's cast today on Good Morning America. DeLay will join the likes of singer Macy Gray, former supermodel Kathy Ireland, former NFL star Michael Irvin, and Donny Osmond.
This should be….weird.
Meanwhile the Democrats STILL haven’t brought their “ethics” case against Tom DeLay to court.

Just heard CNN’s Cafferty saying Delay should be dancing in a prison. When Wolfe Blitzer reminded him Delay had not been convicetd of any crime, Cafferty, with an astonished look on his face said, “Oh”.

Chris Bell, a lameduck Democrat and 3 time loser, was the chump who filed the ethics charge on his way out of office. He did it because he was angry about the redistricting of Texas (but that wasn’t what the ethics charge was about).
Despite the Left’s claim that the redistricting was simply to put more Republicans in Congress, Chris Bell lost his seat to a black Democrat. He’s a closeted bigot.
And prosecuter Ronnie Earle (D) has resigned from the case, if not office.
It was a simple show trial and it accomplished the goal. It ousted Tom Delay from office and it handed Congressional leadership to the Democrats over a bogus charge of “a vast culture of corruption in the GOP that extends all the way to the top of the party”.
Pelosi promised us the most ethical congress in history. Fell far short of that.
Dip$$it! After “Dancing...” maybe he can make an appearance with Howard Stern!

I had been wondering what happened to Tom DeLay’s court stuff ...is anything still pending?
I watch it - wouldn’t miss it. I’d even ignore a speech by the so-called president to watch it...I’d much rather watch Tom Delay make a fool of himself than watch that disgrace sitting in our White House make a fool of himself.
That show revitalized his sister's career. Because of it, they both now do a nightly act in Las Vegas.
Before "Dancing," Marie was selling dolls on QVC. Since "Dancing," she closed up her Provo office and moved the family to Vegas.

Yeah, don’t know what to say to this. The charges were frivolous so on the one hand I’m still furious he was chased from office and the Republicans allowed this to happen.
But, DWTS’s? Really? I guess his interest in politics is pretty much over then.
I stopped watching last season. They had ex-con rap bimbos, mean girls from reality shows, and Playboy skanks, etc. Every show was like a roll in a liberal orgy. They should put some clothes on, too.
Marie lost about 40#s on dwts and looked pretty hot towards the end. Kathy Ireland will get the middle-aged male vote. My favorite SI model of all time along with Elle.

Tom Delay rammed through more spending and government expansion than any Leader in history. He was like a photo negative of a good conservative.

Seven Times World Champion bull rider Ty Murray (husband of Jewel, for those who don't follow PBR) managed to stay on DWTS last season until the semi-finals...I don't watch the show, but would tune in now and then to see how Ty was doing.
Somehow I just can't picture Tom as athletic as Ty.
And your point? He wasn’t defeated in a primary or general election on issues. Hs scalp was targeted by the Dems to bring down the order of the Republican leadership in the house by abusing our justice system and the Republicans let it happen for their own selfish interests which in the end hurt them even more as the caucus fell in disarray.
One has nothing to do with another. Hell, I dislike Trent Lott but I still defended him against the racial smears they attached to his words. Allowing the Liberals to destroy Republicans on anything but issues or real happenings does our side no favors. If George Allen was going to go down, it shouldn’t have been because of Macaca. There are countless examples of these attacks and as long as they work they will continue to be used indescrimantely against anyone including conservatives. They have to be stopped cold, we can’t pick and choose who to defend because they don’t distinguish between ideology. All they see is the “R”.
Long winded story short...how Delay was brought down was a disgrace and shouldn’t have been allowed to happen. He committed no wrong legally.
