HEPPNER, Ore. (AP) - The Morrow County sheriff's office arrested a female teacher accused of having sex with two boys, 15 and 17.
The sheriff's office says 30-year-old Wendy Cannin was taken into custody Monday and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on charges of sexual misconduct and rape.

I agree. Shouldn’t we have expectations and standards for our young men too?
Or should we just treat them as childlike victims when they were willingly participating?

Of course not. And yes it would be illegal for the teenagers to imbibe the tobacco, alcohol, and drugs too.
The teacher broke the law. The teenage boys didn’t, break the law “statutorily speaking” and therefore should not be put in prison, but there is a problem here that needs to be addressed on both ends.
I’m not judging, I’m commenting. Teenage boys can be victims too, but for boys who are thrilled and love every minute of the older woman’s affections, and willingly go along, I think there is a problem there too.
I wonder if they took the leave colledge early and practice being a teacher mode.

I seem to have touched a nerve with you. I’m sorry. You must have boys. I have girls. It’s terrible when this sort of thing happens, and it seems to be happening with increasing frequency, the teachers having sex with their students. I wish we could just stop this from happening somehow.

You may be overgeneralizing; there are a lot of good modern teachers. Your reaction is like looking at Senator Larry Craig and saying that all modern republican politicians are just lame ... um ... nevermind.
Completely and totally "Not Guilty" [and it would make me wish I was a whole lot younger!].
When I was in undergraduate school, the saying was “if you can’t make it in any other discipline go into education”.
