PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Police said a Florida Atlantic University student posed as an elderly woman to save on tuition.
FAU police have filed criminal charges against former student Patricia Brandao. Police said she used the used the Social Security number of a 71-year-old woman.
Brandao graduated three years ago, but school officials discovered the alleged ID theft when Brandao requested that her Social Security number be changed on transcripts sent to two medical schools.

This is a problem with a lot of these “schools” nowadays. No one has a clue about who is actually attending the classes, taking the tests and receiving the diplomas. Diplomas are essentially nothing more than receipts for tuition paid.
I wonder how many fake Hispanics are out there getting all kinds of tax-assisted goodies... in schools and elsewhere in society.

Probably collecting endless US govt freebies under all her identities:
Files multiple tax returns to collect $3500 EITC checks, multiple welfare, UI and Workmen's Commp, free healthcare, free education.....all under different names and SS#.
Probably also posing as a mom to get monthly ADD checks for several kids.
All those SocSecurity checks kick in when she goes back to the Third World to live in luxury on US taxpayers.

A few months ago my husband had to apply for some government run insurance while he was at the counter a Mexican/American walked up and was informed that he didn’t have to pay the fee because he was hispanic. Now how fair is that?
My SIL was able to get into the teaching program at her university back in the late ‘70s because her last name did sound hispanic. She was a great teacher and the only thing keeping her out at the time was that she wasn’t black or hispanic.
Many State Schools offer free tuition to geezers. That is probably why she claimed to be 71yo.
It’s odd that the schools publicity department didn’t catch her as senior citizens are rarely full time students and almost never graduate. It’s alway a news item when they do.

Why should different people pay different amounts for the same education simply because they are different ages? Seems like discrimination to me.
On the other hand, is there any chance under Obama Care that a 71-year-old would get medical school training? Wouldn’t that be a waste?
