Just got tweeted
Uh, barkin' up the wrong tree on that one. DefendGlenn.com came out on Aug 14th and has been providing the best source for advertisers who are boycotting Beck's show. they also have a Support Wall with over 16,000 messages for Glenn.
DefendGlenn.com also is the one who discovered and posted the Van Jones "Republicans are a**holes" video which started the whole snowballing towards Jones' destruction. The founder is one John Hill. He is quoted in two NewsMax articles. (1) (2)
I and many of my Facebook friends have used his links to contact advertisers (someone other than Hill has a Facebook page). Hill claims they convinced General Mills to pull ads from Olbermann and Shultz with "more to come". So they are definitely the good guys.
I thought they meant “who started Twitter”, not “Defend Glenn”.
Site is accessable from here; loaded fast, no problemo ...
He said DOS attack was right after Jones resigned. If I recall that was just after midnight EST. He said the attack failed. As another posted mentioned, the site was hacked 2 weeks ago, so John Hill probably slapped on some serious security since then. Probably took some time to determine if it was a DOS based on IP address patterns and timing, etc.
If only Conway were still around, he would fix that.....
Ever read the account Steve Gibson gave in his exploration/infiltration of a zombie net that was used to execute DDOS (Distributed DOS) from vast numbers of compromised broadband connected home PCs? Really interesting; he had some conversations with the ‘operators’ of such nets too (kids mainly).
Just a minor point there.
Better to use...

Just a minor point here, too... :-)
He's a man of verrrry few words. You'll have to wait for other posters to explain what his post is all about.
Basically, Glenn's site has apparently been hit with a Denial Of Service attack in response to him taking down Van Jones. Typical, and predictable vindictiveness by liberal hackers.
Wicked-pedia even has info on the DDoS ‘Wicked bot’ that Steve Gibson ‘reverse engineered’ here:

b) Are they a violation of law, US domestic law?
c) If the person who launched it is in the domestic United States, and launched it while in the USA, can they be investigated by agencies and indicted, and prosecuted?
d) If so, what would be the penalties?
Just wanted to clarify a few points, maybe someone knows.
cool, thanks for that info, I will defintely join up on that one.
a) yes (the core network is a LOT smarter than the heydays of 8 yrs ago)
b) would have to look up specifics
c) ditto
d) ditto
I know you found the online video. However DG has the DVD of that event, as well as several other ones they are going through. He sent a copy to Beck's producer, which is why Glenn's version of the Jones video is so crisp. Beck's people have an amazing production facility I have heard.
An example of Cisco’s product capabililty in that area:
