EMP Attack Could Wipe Out U.S.
NewsMax ^ | September 9, 2009 | By Ronald Kessler

The federal government is doing "nothing" to protect against an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack that could wipe out American civilization, Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, a leading expert on the subject, tells Newsmax.

For only $200 million to $400 million, the government could protect a key element of the power grid to keep electrical power from being wiped out for years, according to Dr. Pry, a former staff member of the congressional Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse Attack.

Yet neither Republicans nor Democrats have been willing to spend that small sum, says Pry, who is president EMPACT America, which is meeting in Niagara Falls, N.Y. this week to spotlight the scandal.

A single nuclear bomb exploded over the Midwest would generate an electromagnetic pulse that would destroy the chips that are the heart of every electronic device. While military and intelligence networks may be shielded against EMP, most of the rest of the country's technological infrastructure is not.

An EMP attack would wipe out personal computers and the internet. Cars would not start, gasoline pumps would not work, and airplanes could not take off.

"So what do you do with the old microwave once you have it?"

You can take it apart and play with the two big round magnets, maybe save the copper. Otherwise chuck it out.

Or you can give it to one of the weirdo's that think they are going to twirl a magnet just right and discover the "mysteries of the magnet" and make a perpetual motor that generates free electricity, if the MIB's don't come and steal his invention when he's oh so close to solving the mysteries first...

Nothing new here. EMP is an old story. However, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t prepare. It is an easy way to cripple the nation.

This is a fact. No water, no way to receive or send communications, no phones etc. possibly ‘ham radio’ operators would be viable.
no transportation means. Only old ignition systems that might be serviceable,

We would immediately be back at frontier days style of life and who of the younger generations has a clue about it?

Riots and home break invasions, pillaging chaos would be supreme. There are a few survivalists that are prepared ... with food and water storage, seeds, solar panels for a bit of low power, vitamins, medicines, wood or coal for burning as heat source, true survival equipment necessary to make it for a time. What we would hope for is a prepared cave somewhere isolated.

The TV program “Jericho” a couple of years ago ... was an idea of what a small town would be like. Interesting show.

Some would say "why try to survive?" For what?

Look, if your close enough to a nuclear explosion to be effected by an “emp” pulse, Worrying about your car stalling will be the last thing on your mind.

I think the flesh dripping off your arms will be a priority, if you can still see that is...

How old do the microwaves have to be?

I would like to put my crank radio into one.

It is a likely occurence. It kills most all the people as a result given time and it leaves all the structures, property and systems for the conquerors.

It is rather amazing it has not happened already from some mad man like Iran’s Adumenenhjad (sp)

“At least my John deere tractors that use a fully mechanical injection system will still run.”

I really like that idea! I’m thinking that with this “no progress” administration we may have to start riding horses (which might be OK!) or just walking everywhere. It won’t matter, I guess. We won’t be able to afford fuel and we won’t have jobs anyway. I wonder if we’re going to be living like Mad Max. :)

Very good. You’ll be one of the few people who can surf the net or make a cell phone call over communication networks that aren’t working.... No, wait....

I have some questions:

First, all of the doomsayers describe airplanes crashing and cars that will not run.

OK, I can see that it is possible to ruin all electrical equipment that is hooked to the power grid.

But items that are free standing? I don't think so.

Take airplanes first. Modern aircraft, even light twins and singles, can take a direct lightning strike.

True there have been a few instances of crashes caused by lightning but all of them I am familiar with had a compromising mechanical problem, such as a defective fuel vent, etc.

It is also true that in several cases of lightning strikes, the aircraft lost some or all of its navigation equipment.

However, the basics such as alternator power, engine power, etc., kept right on.

We have all seen pictures of aircraft with holes in the skin and with the radome blown off, but the airplane still made it to a safe landing.

How is this possible? Because the electrical equipment for the most part is shielded by the metal skin. The electrical charge runs over the outside of the aircraft but little or none gets to the inside.

What will happen when a large number of composite airline types are in the air remains to be seen as in most cases the first thing to blow are the composite parts on an otherwise all metal aircraft such as the radome, etc.

As for autos, it has long been known that an automobile is one of the safest places you can be in an electrical storm unless that storm includes a tornado. But there again it is the wind and not the electrical discharge that causes the danger.

Why? Again, the lightning follows the outside metal.

I doubt very much that equipment not attached to the grid is in serious danger. Autos, aircraft, emergency generators not in operation at the time, computers not attached, computers in the warehouse or in stores packed in boxes...not likely.

This goes in the same drawer with global warming. Some of it is worth mentioning. The rest of it is hysteria.

It was FICTION.

besides, we don't have to worry about stuff like that. Superman and Ironman, spiderman, The fantasic four, Captain america etc. will save us.

“Hardened” microprocessors, components and memory solved much of this problem.

Since you are one of the only ones who understand:

“George Bush Jr. and # 13”

13 is the number of death and rebirth, death and reincarnation, sacrifice, the Phoenix, the Christ (perfected soul imprisoned in matter), and the transition from the old to the new.

Yet I will introduce another series of impossibility of coincidence. We have President George Bush Jr. who is 13th cousin of Britain’s Queen Mother, and of her daughter Queen Elizabeth and is a 13th cousin once removed of the heir to the throne, Prince Charles.

Officially becoming the 43rd President on December 13th of a nation who had originally 13 colonies, who celebrates its independence day July 4 which is exactly 13 days after Summer Solstice on June 21. In this calculation, June 22 is counted as ‘Day 1.

Whom some consider this country to be the 13th tribe of Israel. Ephraim is the 13th tribe of Israel. Bush who rules from the White House which the cornerstone was laid by a Masonic Ritual on Saturday, October 13, 1792, when the Georgetown Lodge No. 9 of Maryland gathered for the ceremony, which is surrounded by 13 approximately straight lines of avenues which L’Enfant planned for the city which were symbolic of the stripes of the national flag, laid out to receive the impress of the stars, which is also is laid out in a Satanic Pentagram. The south point which represents where the spirit of Satan is to dwell.

The new Commander-in-Chief faced the sacred Egyptian obelisk, known as the Washington Monument, and took the inaugural omens and when you convert the 555 feet of height into inches, it comes out to 6660, which reveals the number of the beast imbedded in the sacred geometry of the structure.

Whom our leaders have allowed the Illuminati to divide The United States into seven different regions geographically. Each region has a 13 member leadership council that coordinates with the local leadership councils.

G.W. Bush, did you know his Skull and Crossbones nickname was “Temporary.”

You just pull the gas out of the dead cars along the road.
I have a 4wd IH PU and T-All. Fun cars, and can push the dead ones off the road.

Same thing could happen from a massive sun storm.

Be prepared, but not a nut job.
