Wow! Right in my backyard!

Sarah covered 100 meters in 6.13 seconds at the zoo’s Regional Cheetah Breeding Facility, also known as the Mast Farm, in Clermont County. It was her second run of the day. In her first try, she ran 100 meters in 6.16 seconds. The record had been 6.19 seconds.

The Zoological Gardens are perhaps the last of our once great Cincinnati institutions, of which we native sons can still take pride.

Here! Here!

I don’t believe it. After all, it’s a cheetah.

Many years ago, I remember a discussion on FR regarding why so many cars had cat references in their names (i.e. Jaguar, Cougar, Lynx, Pantera, etc.) From this thread, it's obvious why.

At the same time, those of us in the discussion were hard-pressed to find any autos named after dogs (apart from greyhound busses), but as I've since pondered the question, I've thought of two...

...Guesses anyone?

Yep, about 36.5 mph. I suspect this is from a resting start. Top speed would be dramatically higher if that was the case.

I heard that after doing a burst of speed like that, the cheetah and most other animals capable of high speeds have to rest the entire day.

I know you said cars.

But you didn’t say it couldn’t be navy vessels.

I read the fine print in your disclaimer.

Actually I was thinking about the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer...

...I suppose you could also loosely call the "Rover" a dog car...
