I hope Prince Harry rallies his countrymen to his banner and they banish the muslim plight. There’s one good battle left in them.

Diana would be proud of her boys. They turned out pretty well, all things considered.

I always thought his hell raising in his younger years would come to some good. His service in afganistan proves that out.Hopefully he can change the course of the decline in his country.

The Richest Slave in the world.

Seriously, born into a job you’re not allowed to resign from. Any that do are shunned, made pariahs.

I support the monarchy, but the worst thing about it is that it’s so unfair to the Royal family.

Hey, he can quit any day he likes. I don't see very many of them giving up the dole they collect from the public purse.

I think the way to do aristocracy is like they do it on the Continent. The nobility can swan around calling themselves Grand Dukes and princes and barons and what not, and will always have a leg up in business and high society, but they collect not a nickel from the State. They have absolutely no privileges, rank or subsidies not available to their fellow citizens, except perhaps to rent a modest apartment in their family's former palace at market rates.

As a dual national who is still one of Her Majesty's subjects, I say we ought to cut the Queen's handout from the Treasury to nothing, abolish the last vestiges of her political powers, and hire her for a few thousand pounds a month as a tourist attraction for Americans. Give her a four-room flat in Buckingham Palace, and she can employ her own butler and chambermaid if she's got enough left over after paying the rent.

Along with rank an d privileges comes a lot of work and duty and obligation.

Please! Cutting ribbons at new shopping centers and wearing funny hats to Ascot, for 30 million pounds a year plus room and board? Sign me up. My job involves WAY more work and duty than any royal ever dreamed of, outside of military service.

Look, I am a British subject and I love almost all the things that make England distinctive, but I just can't see giving money from the public's taxes to a hereditary monarch. Nor do I think swearing allegiance to an individual, rather than a Constitution and the Republic it ordains, is EVER a good idea.

Her Majesty is a good Queen and on the whole probably earns her keep. People just eat up royalty, especially Americans. Tourists coming to see the Crown Jewels and the Changing of the Guard bring billions of pounds to the Exchequer every year. But a hereditary monarchy subsidized by the public is just a relic of the past and cannot be justified in a free society, no matter how much income she produces for the country.
