PETA Wants to Turn Va. Prison Into Chicken Empathy Museum

Troutville, Va. (AP) - An animal rights group wants to rent a prison building the state plans to close and turn it into the nation's first chicken empathy museum.

A People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals official sent a letter Monday to Gov. Tim Kaine asking to rent the Botetourt Correctional Center building in Troutville.

Kaine spokeswoman Lynda Tran said the state doesn't lease to private entities except for cases grandfathered in when it purchases buildings.

Whenever PETA gets around to showing the same concern for aborted, unborn babies as they do chickens, fish, etc., then I might consider their doctrine as legitimate. Until then, they just keep sounding goofier and goofier.

I used to sympathize a bit with PETA until I found out what they’re really like - buffalo wings, a cold beer and a testosterone filled stadium with guys in tights bashing each others heads .... my kinda day.
