Mayweather, by decision. I didn’t think that popinjay would last more than six rounds, but I have something...almost like respect, blossoming deep within my heart. That fight was pretty frikkin’ awesome.

Of course, it would’ve been better if he hadn’t entered the ring looking like cookie monster...

I was surprised too. To think he was the one who wanted a bigger payday than Paquiao and people raised their eyebrows.
To: OCC
PPV, now that you mention it.

I would love to see Floyd and Paquiao go at it. However, Sugar Shane Mosley seemed to have set up a future match during the interview.

Oh please. Mosley always does. Right after the Pacquiao-Hatton fight, he was literally whoring himself to Pacquiao’s trainer, Roach and Manny’s handlers. Check out the afterfight interviews: at least Mosley was putting his face/manning up out for attention while Mayweather SR. was quiet after barking up Roach’s grill.

He came in wearing a blue furry hood...He looked like a damn muppet!

It is sad that heavy weight prizefighting is only available on PPV. Imagine if you had to pay for an NFL game.

I didn’t watch.
The Yahoo writer said the fight maybe should have been stopped in the 10th and then he said another “Golden Boy” fighter was begging the Marquez corner to throw in the towel in the 11th.
But he might have been filled with crap.

I saw on ESPN that Mayweather had to pay $300,000 for every pound over weight he was.
He ended up having to pay Marquez $600,000 for being 2 pounds over!

Eh, I’m lucky; Mr. Legs works for the TV company.
Don’t think I’D be if I had to pay for it.

Yahoo news said Mayweather got fined 6-figures for being 2 pounds over 144, still light enough to fight though

Pretty much. Kinda sad actually. It’s politics. Mosley had a run-in with Pacquiao’s promoter Arum and Arum has HBO connections plus he made mincemeat of DelaHoya, and that DLH is now a promoter..so he’s stuck in limbo.
To: airborne
What does he get for winning the fight? $600,001?

That’s sad, I didn’t know.
Well, maybe his in-your-face tactics will pay off eventually.

I still don’t think I’ve laughed any harder at something here at FR than that.
