Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Yoko Ono thinks the new Beatles video game will help create "a world of Peace." The 76-year-old widow of "Fab Four" singer John Lennon has praised Beatles Rock Band - which was released earlier this month - because it merges music and art to create amazing "healing vibrations."
She explained: "I think game is the second revolution. In the beginning they made a splash with their music; with the video game we're going to create a planet of music and art."
"Music and art are both very interesting healing vibrations, and with that vibration we can create the world we've always wanted, a world of peace."
Even though Lennon has been dead for nearly 30 years, Yoko claims she is still committed to ensuring he is "treated right".
She said: "I'm thankful that I'm in a position to look after John's legacy, because that's what he wanted me to do."
"We were both artists and understood exactly what it's like when your work isn't treated properly. I'm trying my best to make sure his is treated right."
When it comes to her own life, the provocative musician hopes she is forgotten as soon as she dies.
She told Britain's Observer newspaper: "What's written about me in newspapers is usually fiction. With the press you have to learn to read between the lines."
"I don't mind if no one remembers me. If I'm going to be remembered by the fictional notes the press wrote about me, why would I want to be remembered at all?"
“why would I want to be remembered at all?”

Uhhhhhhhhhhh......................you won’t be.
She's already been forgotten for years, she doesn't have to die to do that.
I don't want her forgotten, though I do wish she was never known.
What a bleepin’ retard.
Sounds like she’s had her run-ins with unfair press.
“I don’t mind if no one remembers me.”
Good—now I won’t feel so guilty.
I don’t know about anyone else, but after the last year studying Cloward-Piven and all the 60’s crap that has gotten us to where we are today, I have far less stomach for the Beatles then I used to. I was born in 62, a tad late for Vietnam (yet old enough for Beirut) but had to watch all that hippie sh!t as a kid...It made me sick then...it gives me anger now.
The only thing that stupid game will create is a bunch of kids who don’t know how to play real instruments.
Just as long as the visuals don't include a naked Yoko.
The game is pretty cool looking; I recommend going to Target or Fry’s and looking at the demos.
No unicorns, rainbows and healing vibes as of yet but we are having a lot of fun with the game and our goofy plastic instruments.
“Imagine.” I imagine a day when Yoko Ono shuts up and disappears. Her 15 minutes of fame ended nearly 30 years ago. She continues to leech off her dead husband because she neither has talent nor class.
What was pathetic was to see her make a grab for tons of Beatle's merchandise before it was going to be given away.
Yoko... Yoko... you're star was burned out a long time ago.
Her screeching!!!!
I didn't wait.
Imagine there's no heaven (No God for John)
It's easy if you try
No hell below us (No hell either if you don't believe in God)
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there's no countries (One world order)
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too (Nope, no God for John)
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions (But ‘ol John kept his $1 Billion..don't give that away)
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one (If you don't get shot and go to hell)
The biggest threats to peace are retards like her.
I hadn’t thought about that album in years—thanks a lot!
Hoooooooo K .... whatever you say, Yoko.
Otherwise, as a Beatles fan, I could care less about the Rock Star Band game thingie ... I'm more interested in the digitally remastered CD box sets, of which I bought both - Stereo and Mono - delivered to my doorstep right on 09/09/09 :)

Yes Yoko, why don’t you send games to Ahmadinejad, Abbas, Chavez, the Taliban, etc. World peace is just a few days away.
She’s talking about world peace and all that crap, but I think the bottom line is the bottom line - she probably gets a buck or so for every game sold. She’s been at this game for awhile and she knows how to play it.
Beatles wrecking DumbF**k.
She and Harrison’s widow are getting a TON of cash for signing off on this, as are McCartney and Ringo.
Who’s zoomin’ who? ;)
I think Ringo and Paul should team up with Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, and go on tour as the Whotles.
ok- so have you had time to listen to them yet? I have heard only glowing reports on them!
I became a Beatles fan late in life -lol- actually just the last 3-4 years...so I'm still catching up.
I doubt, though, that I would ever go to the expense of getting these Remastered sets! :) I'm satisfied with what's available to me already! You see-I’m still discovering stuff I've just barely touched on in the past! lol-I know it's probably hard for people to realize there are folks out here who don't know everything about the Beatles...but it's true- for me anyway!
But -that’s just me! Please don't pity me-I’m fine! :)
Junie K.
I absolutely MELT when I hear Daltrey’s voice. He’s my ‘Unchained Melody’ moment, hands down! ;)
He had a great solo tape called ‘Best Bits’ and I played it to death in my old cassette player in the car. I can’t find it on CD; only vinyl or another cassette. :(
This is a great reminder of the effects of drugs.
I always envisioned him getting sued by an audience member first time he tried to use a wireless mic.
OK, YOKO, just air drop a few million of these games into Afghanistan.......Still fighting?, whoops guess you were wrong!
Hahahahahaa ... mic twirling wouldn't work out too well with a wireless, ehhhh? /laughs
I was at this Who show at MSG in 2004 when Daltrey lost control of his mic twirl as it sailed into the audience ... funny stuff, he's embarrassed, but no harm done ... a Who concert is always unpredictable as to what might happen :)
