Lets face it, none of the candidates are perfect. They never are. But McCain is the least perfect of the viable candidates. The only one left standing who can honestly be said to share most of our conservative principles is Mitt Romney. I say this as someone who has not been an active Romney supporter. If conservatives dont unite behind Romney at this stage, and become vocal in their support for him, then they will get McCain as their Republican nominee and probably a Democrat president.

And Glenn doesn't need harpies like Mark Levin to defend him. His 9/12 Army of millions can handle that.
No wonder the Axis of Weasels is going after Glenn Beck! If I were Mitt, Palin would scare me silly too.
Let loose the dogs Mitt. See how far they get you.
Thats just mean lol.
I’l get behind him if he applies for a job as garbage collector!
i’ll get behind him when the bullets are flying
I honestly think Sarah should try 2016 and let Romney and the rest have a go, which they will lose. GOP always lose when they put up an establishment candidate
healthcare romney?pass
Ozone in the air.
Hey n00b, I made the same EXACT conclusion before voting in the CA primary - I put a huge clothesline on my nose and voted for Mr. Slick from Massachusetts.
You want to say that I too was bought by Mitt’s Money? You can try, but you’ll just make more of a fool out of yourself.
Beck is not out to lunch in his distaste for McCain, but I still think the backstabber would be better for our basic survival than Zer0.
Both Beck and Levin are right, just in their own ways, and this circular firing squad bit has got to stop.
If the anti-Romney zealots don’t start focusing on getting a really qualified and electable candidate lined up for 2012, they’ll almost certainly find themselves facing a choice between Romney and Obama. And Palin is most certainly NOT qualified or electable.
So you joined to start a war between Levin and Beck supporters? Yeah, I smell troll. Mentioning palin in your handle is a dead giveaway.
While Beck told Katie Couric today, McCain-Palin would have been worse for America than Obama-Biden. And he, Beck, "may" have voted for Hillary.
I'd say, Beck beats Levin for the boner of the day. A double-boner! LOL
that article is ALMOST 2 YEARS OLD DUDE, before Sarah Palin came into the picture
“Romney’s money can’t buy Glenn Beck.
And Glenn doesn’t need harpies like Mark Levin to defend him. His 9/12 Army of millions can handle that.
No wonder the Axis of Weasels is going after Glenn Beck! If I were Mitt, Palin would scare me silly too.
Let loose the dogs Mitt. See how far they get you.”
So who would you rather have as President now, Obama or Romney?
If obama is qualified and electable than palin has more than meet that very low benchmark
Puhhleez....
Levin was a Thompson supporter
DUDE, go look at the person’s posting history. Two threads, both about Levin vs. Beck. The age of the article has nothing to do with an obvious attempt at being a stealth troll by using Palin’s name.
And I am not a dude. :)
I thought something was “fishy” aside from the article being from January 2008.
I listen to Levin every evening via my computer and somehow I just could not put Romney on Mark’s radar under any scenario.
Where’s that fishy email when you need it?
Get the facts troll
When Fred Thompson entered the race for president, this is who Mark Levin Supported. Mark had Fred on his program several times and openly supported him.
He just said today he supported Thompson.
As did I
This anti Palin troll is another tool to be sure Obama wins again in 2012
Maybe Mitt’s money can’t buy Glenn Beck, but since they are both Mormons, I would be surprised if Beck would ever say much against Mitt.
That being said, why would you post a nearly two year old article about a true conservative, Mark Levin, who sees a phony conservative, Mittens Romney, as the only way to keep a lunatic, John McCain, from becoming the republican nominee for president in 2008? We’ve already been there and done that. Hopefully both Mittens and McCain will just fade away into the past.
Well, I gotta hit the sack.
In the meantime....Let the bodies hit the floor
Why do you want Obama to win in 2012?
This board is totally out to lunch. Democrats, third-party socialism-enablers, anti-Republicans and trolls as far as the mouse can click.
One could say that again.
Nope, she hasn’t. Obama was laying the groundwork for many years, attending the right schools, working at the right law firms, sucking up to the “right” (more like hard-core left) community groups, getting elected to the Senate, etc. He’s still not anywhere near as qualified as we need — even from the point of view of a leftist who would really like to see nationalized health care, a complete pullout from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo, etc — he’s just not able to achieve his objectives, because he’s finally gotten in over his head. Palin was already showing signs of being in over her head as governor of Alaska.
What is Levine doing? Doesn’t he realize we are probably not going to have another election if WE DON’T GET TOGETHER AND DO SOMETHING NOW...ALL OF US UNITED TO STOP THIS THUGOCRACY! Levine grow up. And the rest of us stop comparing. Lets just look for what we can do to put an end to this. Every day they are putting more pieces in place AROUND THE WORLD for a complete take over.
A "libertarian" Republican who signed her name to a foreign policy letter to Obama that was also signed by David Frum, McCain aide Randy Scheunemann, William Kristol, and other assorted statists.
No, you've got Palin confused with Bachmann.
Bachmann is the one hanging out with Ron Paul to discuss proper, Constitutional monetary policy.
Hello? That sentence is more aptly directed at Romney zealots.
I love and respect Mark Levin; I remember the early days of the primaries when he referred to Fred Thompson as "my guy." He did not like Romney, and when Romney zealots attempt to twist Levin's reluctant endorsement as high praise, Levin should call bull on it. I'm sad that he won't call a spade a spade and Romney a big government elitist controller, because that's what Romney is.
In the short run, McCain and Romney would have been less disruptive ... but in their potential, and the potential of any big government "moderate" Republican for long-term damage to the future hope for America, they pose a bigger danger than Obama. THEY are the problem, and clothespin-voting is why they're the problem. I have done enough clothes-pin voting now to have finally figured out that it is engaging in Einstein's definition of insanity.
I will apply what I've learned and when Romney zealots focus on getting big-government politicians in office, I will VOTE AGAINST THEM. And I will be joined by millions of Republicans and conservatives who want a party that stands for GETTING GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR HAIR. Romney is demonstrably a proponent of bigger government and more government authority over our lives. He deserves to be rejected. He is a loser for the GOP, and he represents WHY the GOP is so weak that few are rallying behind it as it stands now.
People will rally behind the GOP when its big-government politicians like Mitt are tossed to the curb and the GOP motto is: Getting government out of your hair, off your neck, and back in the servants' quarters where it belongs.
What state have you been elected governor to?
A Harvard or Yale degree and $2.00 will get you a big mac.
What did he have to say about Mitt's government run heath disaster? Oh yeh, NOTHING. Charley Gibson is more aware of whats going on than these guys.
“She’s been a successful Governor. “
Come on, she didn’t even finish one term. I had a problem with romney, that he only had one term and didn’t bother facing re-election (probably because he knew he couldn’t win). But even that is more than Palin. It’s a big problem for her.
Thank you for posting that because it helps give reasonable justification for Levin's "support" (such as it was) for Romney. I really had forgotten that McCain was/is indeed a hope and a scream away from going off the rails. I voted for the ticket because I fully figured odds were high that McCain would pull a Captain Queeg in office before his first two years and Palin would fill the seat.
And so it might have happened if ACORN hadn't ginned enough votes, and the MSM ginned a big enough illusion of Obama's mythical popularity for America to leave the vote fraud unquestioned, to put Obama in place.
Liberals have to cheat to win because if they didn't, not enough people would vote for their candidates to put them in office. We are the majority, but the MSM has us all believing we're not. The MSM didn't put Obama in office; ACORN did, and the MSM was an accessory.
I am absolutely appalled at the conservatives who supported Romney. The romney supporters were jumping up and down as if he was the conservative Obamamessiah. I can understand why rino’s would go for him but conservatives?
Beck didn’t seem to care that much for Mitt last year and he didn’t like Huckabee, either, as I recall.
ibtz
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way....
You are bound and determined to see Obama re-elected in 2012... amazing!
It's why I like Palin and I think probably why a lot of Haskell-wise Americans like Palin -- they sense that she is the opposite of Eddie Haskell. Not finishing her Alaska term as Governor was smart and sensible, and only dumb people -- like those conservatives who fell for Romney -- don't recognize it. Sorry, ari, but as Rush says, it is what it is.
And he, Beck, “may” have voted for Hillary.
