Sarkozy Mocks Obama at UN Security Council: Hello, Big Media?

It's a sad day for America when you realize the French President has more brass than our Commander in Chief.

Obama: “We must never stop until we see the day when nuclear arms have been banished from the face of the earth.”

Sarkozy: “We live in the real world, not the virtual world. And the real world expects us to take decisions.”

Isn’t it priceless when the French leader has more guts to speak the truth and more bravery as well! I am really beginning to like this man...he does not mince words in describing what the US did for France and Europe TWICE!

In 2007 Sarkozy came to the US and addressed congress to renew the French/American Alliance. His speech was so awesome it literally brought tears to my eyes. Especially as I have sat here and watched the man in our White House demonize and abase Americans all over the world, and the US press trying to tell us that we are hated by our allies and all the country we generously hand BILLIONS to in aid each year.

Here is the transcript of Sarkozy’s speech:

Here is the video of it where you can see the awesomeness of this man...

And also here, you can see his charisma and why the French adore him:

My only problem with Sarkozy is that he apparently buys into the global warming scam 100%: http://m.guardian.co.uk/?id=102202&story=http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/sep/10/sarkozy-carbon-tax-france But that’s a BIG problem.

Sarkozy's words reflect the mind and heart of a leader, not the naivete and arrogance of a novice.

The post of a link to Sarkozy's 2007 Speech before the U. S. Congress is appreciated. That speech contained these, among other, observations:

"The deliberations of your Congress are conducted under the double gaze of Washington and Lafayette. Lafayette, whose 250th birthday we are celebrating this year and who was the first foreign dignitary, in 1824, to address a joint session of Congress. What was it that brought these two men--so far apart in age and background--together, if not their faith in common values, the heritage of the Enlightenment, the same love for freedom and justice?

"Upon first meeting Washington, Lafayette told him: 'I have come here to learn, not to teach.' It was this new spirit and youth of the Old World seeking out the wisdom of the New World that opened a new era for all of humanity.

"From the very beginning, the American dream meant putting into practice the dreams of the Old World.

"From the very beginning, the American dream meant proving to all mankind that freedom, justice, human rights and democracy were no utopia but were rather the most realistic policy there is and the most likely to improve the fate of each and every person.

"America did not tell the millions of men and women who came from every country in the world and who--with their hands, their intelligence and their heart--built the greatest nation in the world: 'Come, and everything will be given to you.' She said: 'Come, and the only limits to what you'll be able to achieve will be your own courage and your own talent.' America embodies this extraordinary ability to grant each and every person a second chance.

"Here, both the humblest and most illustrious citizens alike know that nothing is owed to them and that everything has to be earned. That's what constitutes the moral value of America. America did not teach men the idea of freedom; she taught them how to practice it. And she fought for this freedom whenever she felt it to be threatened somewhere in the world. It was by watching America grow that men and women understood that freedom was possible.

Long before Sarkozy in France, his countryman, Bartholdi, saw the miracle in America and created our wonderful Statue of Liberty as a gift to the U. S.

And, long before either Lafayette, Bartholdi, or Sarkozy, even before the Declaration of Independence or Constitution, the British Statesman Edmund Burke gave his 1775 "Speech on Conciliation" before the British Parliament, in which he praised the spirit of liberty of the colonists, challenging his own country to observe the tremendous growth of both goods and freedom resulting from that "fierce spirit of liberty."

Why does our American President not speak of these things? After all, millions still flea other lands to come to America.

Facts are stubborn things!

Yes, I know...we’ve got a tough row to hoe convincing the world that this is simply junk science promoted by Al Bore and the band of paid off scientists he got to help him promote his books and make millions.

But at least real scientists are stepping up to the plate now and trying to get out the information to show this for as the hoax it is the government is using to pull more billions out of our pockets.

The French are the French. They hate us coming and going. They gave the far Left media lots of ammo to use against Bush and the far left media will ignore their nastiness when they attack a Party member. That makes the Frenchies stupid.

At least they now have a good reason to hate us.

You know your country is going to hell when the French President mocks the American President, and you find yourself agreeing with the French President.

This is a great article. I'm surprised there has not been more activity.

Mod - could you add another topic? I tried, but it wouldn't accept anything.

Oh come now ... the French didn't have that market cornered. The commies in this country did a great job with a lot of help from the "right" including a good number of FReepers.

First: please don't insult 0b0z0 by calling him "American".

Second: I thought Sarkozy is the American President and 0dunga didn't even make a French President.

Maybe 0zumba's linebacker of a wife would have scared the crap out of Ahmadi-Nejad and we wouldn't have been insulted left and left! (couldn't use the word "right" not to be racist)

I had no idea that Freepers joined the French against the “Bush’s war.” I know, as I said, the American Left joined the French in harming Bush’s war effort with great joy. Other than the French attack on the Iraq war, we did not hear much out of the French leaders against Bush.
