After last week’s close victory over a terrible St Louis team, does this make the Deadskins the worst team in the NFL?

Yes. And I am a lifelong Redskins fan. Campbell is an idiot and he needs to be benched. He doesn’t have any fire in his belly. He’s lethargic and looks lost most of the time and he botched so many opportunities today. I suppose the offensive coordinator only calls plays within the talents of the quarterback. If so, Campbell is woefully inadequate.

As a lifetime Redskins fan, I can only say that Marty Schottenheimer looks pretty damn good right about now and I’m beginning to think that Jim Zorn just might be in over his head.
I mean Redskin fans have handled heartbreaking losses all through the history of our team, but to lose to the abominable Detroit Lions?!?!
Move over abominable, Washington’s movin’ in wid ya. :(

Thanks Perdogg for the ping, but where’s Detriot? ;’)
Watched the first half (ate lunch during part of it), listened to most of the second half while driving. Listened to the 2 minute warning, got out of the car and came inside to watch the denouement.
And the freakin’ lousy digital broadcast TV actually worked.
Loved that one-bottle coach ambush in the locker room. ;’) And Schwartz had the team pray then go out and say goodbye to the fans who hadn’t yet left the stadium.

Dan Snyder the worst owner in sports! I used to like the skins but he ruins the team with his meddling - all the players must have a huge resentment because he hired Hainsworth for big bucks .... imho skins will never get a pennant as long as dannie boy is in charge...any coach he hires will always feel insecure and not in charge of the direction of the team personnel decisions

Try being a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. We *own* the streak @ 17 straight losing seasons. I think Baltimore is the closest to us @ 12 straight seasons. Ironically, these were two of the premier teams in the 1970s. At least Baltimore has the excuse of playing in the AL East.

To: buccaneer81
I can't believe the Bucs even signed him.No kidding: Luke McCown was no superstar, but he was solid player that could have lead the team until the other QB's were ready and matured.....
Leftwich is primadona, out of shape, and a wimp. For the life of me I don't understand why he can't throw the short pass.

Yep, it sure does. It’s a long way from the glory days of Riggo and the original Hogs, of Monk, Clark, and Sanders, of the ultimate one-hit wonder Timmy Smith. Now, we get beaten by the frickin’ Lions. Ugh.
We miss you, Joe.

I just said it in a Washington Compost live thread - Jim Zorn's play-calling SUCKS. Another of Little Lord Danny's fantasmic failures, after giving the bum's rush to Norv Turner and Marty Schottenheimer (after one year!), then bringing in college whiz kid Steve Spurrier. (At least Spurrier saw the writing on the wall and bailed.) Hell, even Joe Gibbs threw in the towel after four seasons under Snyder. Throw Terry Robiskie into the mix, and we've seen
six head coaches in 10 years, fer chrissakes. It's no better at QB, either. Brad Johnson, Jeff George, Tony Banks, Danny Weurfel, Shane Matthews, Patrick Ramsey, Mark Brunnel, Todd Collins, and now Jason Campbell. You'll never make a winning playoff run when you're replacing your starting QB every 20 games. Campbell will make a good backup somewhere next year, but I don't give a damn what he did at Auburn - he can't close the deal in the red zone in this league. This team has no identity like they did in the 80's and 90's. And they never will as long as you have an epic fail like Vinny Cerrato sitting in Snyder's lap, yipping out personnel decisions. As long as Dan Snyder owns them, this team will be a perpetual 8-8 speed bump for all the other better teams in the league who are worth more on the field than they are on paper, unlike Washington. I spent years on the waiting list for season tickets, and now that Snyder has run the franchise into the mud and folks are taking a pass, I get pinged every other year for open seats, but I wouldn't waste Dime One on them in their current incarnation. And that's a painfully difficult thing to do as a lifelong fan. The last time they won a Super Bowl? I remember being in my car at the intersection of Viers Mill Road and Randolph Rd. in Wheaton, MD, when game clock ticked down to zero back in '92. Every car within line of sight started honking horns and it basically became one huge tailgate party everywhere. It's been the bottom of a truck stop urinal ever since.

I appreciate your analysis. Yes Vinnie is a big part of the problem, always has been and Snyder is the worst. It just burns me to see all these other rookie to 4-year QBs who are tearing up the league and we have Campbell. It’s crazy and was totally avoidable. Maybe we need to organize a march on Ashburn. LOL! *sigh*

*SNORT* Yeah, Mark Sanchez has the Jets at 3-0, we just got our asses handed to us by the No.1 rookie draft pick this year, yet
our veteran QB can't find a way to get the gaddamned ball across the goal line on a fourth and one, against an 0-18 team.
Man, we suck.

Right there at the Roy Rogers restaurant, am I not correct?
FRiend, you're talking about my old stomping grounds, I was a charter member of the LTSRA (Little Tavern Street Racing Association), across from the old Wheaton Plaza on Viers Mill Road.
I carry around a lot o' memories from that area.
Have a great week!

Yup, right in front of Roy's. Had a cute little female friend of the Hispanic persuasion who worked there and came to sit with me when I stopped by. (Man, I don't wanna get into the memories from that era. Triumph and tragedy. Damn near married the Chinese girl I met at the one over on Ga. Ave across from the Korean package store. LMAO) And that Little Tavern across from Wheaton Plaza made White Castle look like Gaines Burgers. LOL Damn shame they went belly-up.
Man, it's only been about a dozen years or so, but it seems like a lifetime away.
