So Glenn Beck on Fox News recently (September 29, 2009) showed a graphic murder. This is the sort of thing that would get a video pulled from youtube almost immediately, but for some reason Fox deemed it important enough to put on the Glenn Beck show.
Now I've seen the ugly side of mankind. But to be honest this is something that one has to mentally prepare for. It should not be the sort of thing that should get pushed in your face. I mean the only warning Beck gives is to tell 'children to leave the room' before showing the young teen getting beaten to death. This is I am pretty sure just for the shock value to make the audience more receptive to Beck telling them that its all because we have taken in god we trust off some of our currency.
Beck goes on to blame this on the 'loss of god' in America.
Beck gives several monologues as tirades where he basically dictates to the audience what they should think, and in this sense is not unlike howtheworldworks. Watching Glenn in action is like watching the art of manipulation in motions. He targets his appeals to every mechanism of suggestions, bar reason, logic and facts.
If I sound a little off or if the language is a little off. Bear with me on this one Im currently laid up with the swine flu.

What ARE you talking about ??? If you are referring to the vid of the beating in Chicago, I’ve seen it on every news or commentary show since the tape was released.
Why wouldn’t it be shown? For the same “reason” that the 9-11 tapes aren’t shown? Because people are so sensitive they can’t handle the ugliness of mankind? If a picture is worth a thousand words, bring the pictures on. We can’t hide our heads in the sand.

As America departs from the Word of God and becomes an evil nation and grows more depraved and violent daily, perhaps some will wake up and understand that the Word of God is true and how that no nation can prosper and be in peace unless they believe on the God of Israel as the only living God and are saved by the Grace of God, this is why America was unique and also why it will die the death of the depraved nations, by His only begotten son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour and coming King of all the earth.
Until then violence will increase as iniquity will abound more and more. Only the Lord Jesus can stop this descending into violent and evil behaviors and only Christianity is the way that God saves sinners by Jesus Christ.
Over half of today's Christians are ignorant of the truth of the Scriptures as the increase of violence and depravity grows.
I think its very simple: he is pointing to the goddlessness of young africans who suffer NO parenting. He is using them as an example. I too maintain that you can take the boy outta da country but you cant take the country outta da boy.
Its these low level thinkers which are eroding America and like poverty we can import all kinds of other things... like mores and norms. Expectations. Traditions.

It is because of godlessness. Even if belief in God were a fiction it is a civilizing fiction and calls to humanity even the lowest among us to honor, dignity, and civility as well as the belief in something bigger than themselves. I know that there are exceptions to this but when all is weighed equally religion has been the savior and seed of civilized man though many in an intellectually destructive way blame it for the worst but give it no credit for all the good that has been accomplished.
This brings us to the question of why do we expect our children to behave any differently than animals when they are told repeatedly they are no better than animals? They are told and excused of their dignity and honor because of their poverty of means which then becomes a poverty of soul.
There was a time when even the poor had a degree and a sense of morality. That is unfortunately becoming less so and all the secularist socialist crap offers little solace to the realities of children raised to be monsters.
Your indignation appears to be aimed at those who showed it, not the ones who perptrated it. That is why we seam mean to you. The truth hurts and most times it hurts very badly. In order for the pain to stop you have to know what is causing the pain and focus the indignation at the source.
I saw what Beck showed and I acknowledge the warning he gave beforehand. What you failed to acknowledge is that his showing purposely blurred the hits and then all of the victim after he was down. He was not focusing on the gory details but instead at the sheer inhumanity of what is now considered somewhat normal and not dispicable to those who saw it and filmed it. The filming was more important than that kid’s life is the message he was trying to project.
We MUST see these images. They can not be censored. We need to see the brutal TRUTH about violence. Watching someones head being cut off is undeniably sobering. Describing it in words, just doesn't do it.

It’s not about the show. It’s ALL about attacking Glenn. They will use every Saul Alinsky tactic, til they finally find something to stir up.....just like they did with the former President, and Governor Palin, Joe the Plumber, Carrie Prejean....those who protest high taxes, every day Americans.

I saw one kid with a baseball bat smash a window of the door to the Gymnasium Office. I watched him as he smiled at me with a look of such glee and I was baffled at what prompted it.
I had no fear as I was friendly with this particular imbecile who wielded that big stick. Yet, there were dozens of others running around amok breaking things and doing as much damage as possible. I did not know them all.
Fortunately (I suppose) I had always been one of the biggest kids in school. That likely made a difference regarding my safety.
It happens that I was of minority status in that school. Most students were black and all of the students on rampage were black.
I have never understood it, or things such as this episode.

Umm no, I wanted individuals that have a youtube account to 1 star at their own will, and for people to see the kind of trash that’s on youtube.

I posted this generically, and asked people to one star the video if they had an account.
Too many people complained that there was not enough content for them to actually click their right index finger to see what the video was about. So the thread got pulled.
One individual actually took the time to trash talk the fact my thread was pulled.
So I reposted with the video’s description. Should have posted BARF ALERT: Lesson learned.

Your first sentence set the tome. Those of us who saw the show disagreed with that tome. We didn’t need to go back and see what we already saw to form an opinion as to your first sentence.
Maybe if you were to start the thesis with the point of your apparent indignation, we might have thought there was something new in facts we already knew about the video shown on Beck’s show that was reported as something that came from youtube.
I saw that show. I also heard his intro to the clip. How lengthy a warning must he give?? Sounds like maybe you just didn’t like his dose of reality this time. I agree with other posters that people need to see this kind of thing in context and with the alternative “Godless” explanation given instead of the liberal secular spin of the MSM.
