Where is any originality in Hollywood. There are way too many remakes. If they wanted a film about a takeover of America they could have made 'Enemies Foreign and Domestic' or 'Unintended Consequences'.

You'd have the same feeling when the good guys triumph over a government trying to take freedom from the American people. It would be a different story than Red Dawn, rather than a remake which Hollywood always seems to suck the heart out of, and leaving the audience 10.00 poorer, two hours older and not caring a wit about the characters they've just seen

The Russians are not supposed to show up until later in the movie, after the Wolverines cause considerable damage to the Chinese and after the Russians link up with them. The movie is depicted as taking place in Spokane, WA, so the Russians would link up from the east and north (Coming from the Great Plains and Canada) later on, with the Chinese making the first jumps in the Spokane region and a Seattle Beachhead.

Nah, its even scarier than the original. In the remake Congress is the enemy and they will turn you over to be interrogated by the DNC.
