Researchers from Imperial College London believe that when species become asexual they could be on their way to extinction... P. marneffei is a fungus which causes disease in people with damaged immune systems, such as HIV/AIDS patients, and it is only found in parts of south-east Asia... Dr Bill Hanage, one of the paper's authors, from Imperial College London, adds: "By being asexual, P. marneffei is not only limiting its ability to adapt, it may be at risk of becoming extinct. If it is unable to adapt to new environments, it will be unable to adapt to changes in its current environment. While becoming asexual may provide short term advantages to a species, in the long term, they are likely to end up in evolution's ultimate dustbin -- extinction."

Kids cost too much. Kids interfere with drinking and partying. Kids have a lot of homework (a sin in my eyes) and require a whole bunch of upkeep. Kids take money that could be better spent on new cars, toys, vacations, etc. And, kids make divorces messy.

Oh, I meant that sarcastically. I forget the /s things sometimes. Yes, to me the best part of life was the kids, particularly when they are like 2 - 12 or so. Every day is an adventure. I was a “single mom” at age 22. Ex-wife joined the Air Force. Raised my daughter alone until she was 8.

Frankly, without them, life is kinda pointless now. Little joy and much depression.

I have a life time supply. Was supposed to use them for my shoulder but seldom did because I liked them. Now use about 3 or 4 a month as needed. But I twisted my knee so I have taken one a night the last few nites. I have about a 15 to 20 year supply left at that rate.

LOL! I didn’t mention my hydrocodone stash. Popped some kind of thingie muscle on the outside of my knee last year and was like so bad I had to use a walker for like two months. Humiliating, but I couldn’t put any weight on it even with knee brace. My kids were calling me gramps and asking if I needed Polident. (My old basketball knee) So I had a prescription but I only took when the pain was just so bad I couldn’t sleep.
