A video popped up on YouTube Thursday morning that is sure to get attention.
It shows a nasty verbal fight between two women on board a Muni bus. After exchanging profanity-laced verbal insults, the fight turned physical. While male passengers stood and watched, women stepped up to break up the fight. One young woman put her body between the two ordering them to stop.
The fight moved down the aisle as the two women struggled to claw and kick each other. It was unclear when the fight happened, but the video was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday.
The person who taped the altercation started it with by saying, "Just another day on Muni." He later put more information on the clip, including the fact that he was attacked on the same bus two weeks ago.
Muni officials say drivers are supposed to report all incident to central control who will in turn call police. There is no evidence this incident was reported to either, but the vehicle in question was a 60 foot extended bus and it is possible the driver was unware of what was happening in the back. Both the driver and the incident are currently under investigation, according to Muni.
The Muni Diaries Blog had someone interpret the Cantonese that was spoken during the verbal part of the exchange and that said a bystander was egging the Asian woman on by saying "hit her, hit her, hit her, hit her until shes afraid. Other portions of the yelling happened in broken english. They included a couple, "**** you" and a grade school playground favorite: "You're stupid."

The asian woman who broke up the fight was attractive. The chinese woman in fight almost gave the other woman a beat down.
LOL! Lawdy, lawdy.
The Asian woman had enough and thrown a beating on the loud mouth.
The NBC writer of this piece, Lori Preuitt, took great pains to give the impression that the Chinese woman was in the wrong, without ever mentioning the race or the behavior of her opponent. Could it be because the other woman was black, and throughout the argument portion of the video the black woman kept waving pointed fingers and fists in the Chinese woman's face, and then squared off and challenged her with both hands to fight, and finally - on tape - hauled off and punched the Chinese woman in the face with her fist?
The assault was clearly by the black woman against the Chinese woman, and accompanied by escalating physical threats against the Chinese woman. The black woman should be arrested for assault and battery - the Chinese woman was merely defending herself after she was attacked. And the calls by the bystanders against the black woman were in the clear context of trying to get her to back off of her threats.
But to politically correct Lori Preuitt, none of that was worthy of mention, while the Chinese victim deserved implicatory slander.
