On Sunday night, the History channel be gins a remarkable three-hour, two-part program on the assassination of JFK, perhaps the best on that subject you will ever see.

And even if you think you've seen it all and can't bear to see it again, well, then think again.

Nice summary of the program, but I must have missed where it says what time the darn thing starts.

I have seen JFK die from EVERY POSSIBLE ANGLE.

After listening to hours and hours and hours of debate, I just don’t care anymore about a president who was shot 50 years ago.

I’m just offering the info. You should note that it’s not just another cable documentary on the assassination. They’ve used a lot of new material, and it’s done in a very different way. Uses the film to tell the story as if you were watching the events, not just as a backdrop for narrator.

An older relative told me that ‘no one’ believed the cover story at the time. That’s saying something for people living in the US then.

I do remember the fuss about the Warren Commission and how prepousterous their conclusions were.

I lived it. Is this really going to add to the story?

I have seen JFK die from EVERY POSSIBLE ANGLE.

Actually, you haven't.

This two part series will be slightly different, with more historical video of the day, with no narrator.

I remember watching the tube when Ruby shot LHO. What an unexpected turn of events that was.

I am only 23. and I have heard older folks made the same point. After 46 years.

Doesn’t it seem like the USA has declines in so many ways since JFK was killed ?

That was an opening for the far left to take over the Democrat party and they did. That was an opening for LBJ to escalate the Vietnam war and he did. That was an opening for a lot of unintended events that happened in the years that would follow.

I think America was at her peak in 1963.

now we are looking more and more like just another weak member of the European Union every day. That is where we are headed at best.

I can imagine. Was a little too young at the time myself. :-)

Switched channels but not on yet. Best feed the raccoons and heat up some chicken and dumplins. Will switch back and forth between this and Tool Academy.

Many were stunned at the total incompetence of the SS and the Dallas police....

Who would have ever thought that first the president of the United States gets blown away, then 2 days later, the GD assassin gets blown away on national television.

The Dallas PD is transferring the assassin of the President of the United States to a vehicle, and they've got armed unknowns in the immediate area?

Good grief!

"I do remember the fuss about the Warren Commission and how prepousterous their conclusions were."

So people would have you believe. But they aren't preposterous at all. The Warren Commission findings haven't been overturned in nearly 50 years.

If you haven’t read Mark Furhman’s book on the JFK assassination, I highly recommend it. He uncovers ballistics evidence hidden for 40 years.
