Freeper Concerns
Me | 10-13-2009 | azkathy

I did a bunch of Internet work on Thursday evening and Friday last week, then went out of town.

When I returned on Sunday I could smell a man's cologne in my kitchen and could tell someone had been in my home while I was gone.

Nothing was stolen or missing, but I checked with my neighbor who is a retired cop from NY City to see if he noticed any activity at my house.

As a matter of fact, his dogs were barking Sunday night and he looked in my driveway to see if my son's truck was there. It wasn't, but he saw my kitchen light go on and off twice. (This confirmed that someone was there.)

I posted on Twitter, FR and facebook in addition to conservative outpost and Smart Girl Politics about the lack of media coverage for the Obama court case and the lack of a free press in America on Friday!

I think I made someone mad and I want to know if any other freepers have had strange experiences lately?

My cell phone died last night and wouldn't take a charge so I stayed at a friends house.

I also got news last night from one of my sources that the Senate is going for the "Nuclear Option" with the Healthcare bill today in spite of what the American People want! They are attaching it as an amendment to a diferent bill and sneaking it through the finance committee is what I was told.

This administration is going to take us down the road to socialism whether we like it or not!

It isn’t paranoia when it’s really happening! No sarcasm intended. It’s really scary what is happening today.

A professional wouldn’t wear cologne. Im not trying to be crude but have you checked for missing undergarments, dirty laundry, or garbage?

Wasn’t me. If it was, your kitchen would be smelling like a stable.

My guess is nobody was really in your home, believe me, we are but minor players in this circus. You’re neighbor is probably just mistaken, people almost want to add to the mystery, not saying he’s doing anything bad, it’s human nature.

Trust me, there are big fish, moles, in Obama’s office(s) that are working with the opposition, did you hear Beck today about his new Deep Throat 2 guy? You aren’t even on anybody’s radar, there are a gazzilion bloggers blogging against this administration and you’re probably not in the top 200,000 (unless I’m mistaken, if so forgive me, I don’t know anything about you).

So relax ... I too have investigated things (not really of a political) nature and had some very strange things happen, it’s happenstance, nothing more ....

Did you ask your son? Maybe someone dropped him off, ran an errand, then picked him up? Was any food gone (a sure sign the son has been there)?

Kathy,

Sorry, but you’re not high enough on the totem poll, you don’t have a large enough sphere of influence, and you just don’t pose any sort of real threat to anyone who would break into your house to check your computer out or bug it or anything.

I’m not saying no one was there. I am just saying it was not a government operative of any sort nor connected to any serious political entity.

Did you call the police and ask them to look at what happened? You should.

Here's some more good advise in any case for where you live.

1) Get a security system,...even a cheap once is better than none.
2) Arm yourself and learn how to use it.
3) If you can, get a good sized dog.
4) Make sure friends regularly check up on you.
5) Always leave some kind of indicator that will tell you if someone has entered the apt. in your absense, and if you see that indicator, do not go in. Call the police.

You have every right to do all in your power to protect yourself...and should do so. In the end, for any serious intruder, 911 will bring the police long after whatever is going to happen has already happened. You should do all you can so that you protect yourself during a crisis.

As to the national scene. Our nation has elected abject marxists to power who promised "fundamental change". They are going about making those changes as quickly as they can.

Everything the Obama administration has done, or wants to do, has to be viewed from that persepctive.

When it is, you find that he is not stupid or bungling. He is changing America, destroying the free market and fundamental republican principle as fast as he can and replacing it with a command economy along the lines of Karl Marx or some of the fascist models of the 20th century.

From the stimulus, to the bail-outs, to the take-overs of credit, car industry, etc., to health care, to cap and trade, to FOCA...the list goes on and on. That is what OBama and the DNC leadership are about...and they do not care what the American people think about it.

OBAMA IS A MARXIST IDEOLOGUE

Luckily, with the over-reach in health care, the American people are waking up by the millions.

You mentioned your “son’s truck”, which implies there’s a father somewhere. Perhaps it was him?

Good advice, you defintely need deadbolt locks on all doors, otherwise, a simple credit card or butter lid dish and their in and you’d never know it. If you have glass on the sides of your doors then make sure your deadbolt requires a key on both sides, otherwise, a burglar breaks the glass, reaches in, turns the nob in the inside of the deadbolt and walks right in.

Still, I bet you that there is a .0000001% chance somebody was really in your home. If they want to know what you’re doing on your computer trust me, they don’t have to be in your home, that can gather that from all your traffic on the web very easily.

The odds are incredibly slim that it has anything to do with your internet activity. I suppose it’s possible, but not high on the list. Just my opinion based on basic instinct.

Sounds like an average amature stalker. The cologne fits psychologically as he/she would have primped in case he met you.

Better be careful. If the weirdo did enter your home and leave successfully, he will consider it safe his territory now. That is, he’ll be back.

Also, you should check for bugs or cameras.

Just my paranoid opinion

Real objective scientists will welcome new data, reject erroneous data and change their opinion to reflect facts. Fanatic worshippers of the global warming religion will continue to cling to their myth.

Something similar happened to me last year. I came home from work late at night and found my toilet seat up. I'm female and live alone. I've never noticed anything missing except possibly some cigarettes. The next morning I looked around and one of my basement windows had been removed.

I bought a cheap security system which gives an ear piercing alarm and calls my cell phone. It doesn't stop someone from coming in, but at least I know if someone has been in my house before I enter. My brother-in-law also came over and boarded up my basement windows.
