I don’t think the jape on UFOs was necessary. This was a case of large numbers of fervent unbelievers being turned into avid believers.

Accounted for by a variety of visual, psychological and sociological phenomena . . . . particularly since that appears to have been the objective . . . of the critters involved.

No, Fatima is the nameplace of the occurence in Portugal. Remember the Moors once occupied much of Spain and Portugal.
